The wire from the speed sensor conects to the combo meter then goes to the ECU.

The wire going from the speed sensor to the combo meter is blue or gray and is located at pin number 10 of plug II2 near the ECU or at pin number 13 of plug B at the combo meter.

The wire going from the speedometer in the combo meter to the ECU is gray or orange and is located at pin number 3 of plug B for the combo meter. It can also be found at junction connector J7 behind the dash. From that junction connecter it goes to pin number 17 of plug II2 and then on to the ECU.

On the AT200 the wire from the speedometer to the ECU can be located at pin number 11 of plug F for the manual trans or pin number 9 of plug C for the automatic trans.

On the ST204 the wire from the speedometer to the ECU can be located at pin number 9 of plug C.

BTW what good would a RPM signal be to a GPS system?

Wow.. thanks for all the info.. hopfully it will make sence when i get a chance wed to take a look at it.

The gps is working already with just the antena, but i need a speed senor and a reverse wire, to help track such things as Timeing to destinations, to help track milage, can tell my my avg mpg, also sence its voice active to let me know when to turn and how long i have until the turn is coming up.

No problem. I assume you've already found the reverse wire.

I know why it needs the speed sensor signal but why would someone recommend using the tach signal?
