Im here in the states and doing a conversion. Problem is, as far as I can see or find, no one in the states has done a conversion on a rhd. Im trying to get some insight the process is close to the same but the steering linkage looks like it will get in the way. Looking for some photos and info.

How the heck did you get a RHD car? Anyways, I don't think you should have any problems... shouldn't be any different to a conversion for a LHD car, the Master Cylinder will be mounted in a different location, but that's all I can think of...

You have basicly 2 options, technicaly 3.

1. ST205 Clip, Chop the front of your car off, weld on the new.
2. Chop out of the firewall of both cars and reweld it in.
3. Convert your stock firewall to RHD (pain in the ass, unless it allready had punchs in it like older cars)

Problems with all three of these, Shifter, Dash Alingment, WIRING!!! pain in the ass, switchin the windows, mirrors, heater, it goes on....

FYI depending on your budget it might be easyer to just Illegaly import a RHD celica, and yes it can be done.

Are you an idiot. The car is already a legal rhd import. Check out my profile. Not trying to be a jerk but come on.

Let me be the one who tells you, we don't talk to eachother like that in this community. It was a simple question to help his understandence, and you gave a a-hole answer. You'll never get help on the site with that attitude, and i'm pretty sure that you should read over Coomer's letter to the 6gc community (located at the top of all sections).

spunky393 - Dont worry people with ignorence dont last long here anyways.

samguglielmo - Anyways I just did a quick veiw of your question, and thought it was a LHD AUTO to RHD 5spd conversion (which has been asked before, mind the search button) moving on...

Year: 1995
Type: ST

When it asks what model your car is and you cant even list the correct model, and your calling me a idiot? (can cleary see a 5s/3s-fe under the hood, not a 7a)

Anyways going past that, you will need:
Driver Side tranny mount
Manual tranny
Flywheel and bolts
Clutch kit (and pressure plate bolts)
Driver's side mount for manual
Shifter assembly
Shifter cables
Clutch pedal assembly
Brake pedal (or grind down your stock one)
Clutch master cylinder
Clutch slave cylinder (if not included with tranny)
Clutch lines
Manual ECU or wire in resistor box for the auto ECU

Most from a RHD of course, have fun tracking those parts.

First of all where did you read I have a 7a engine. The model is an ST202 that is right off the metal plate underhood. Second of all I didnt mean to call you an idiot. But If a person would take that extra second before commenting on something they dont know about the world would be a greater place. I was putting this post up for the australians and the europeans to see if any of them would have access to the parts since they are obviously not available in the states for such a rare project. No offense given or taken.

dude seriously if you want our help stock being a dick head...
YOU have marked you have a ST which is equiped with a 7afe motor IN YOUR PROFILE
so if you could stop for an extra second to click the right button this forum would be a better place...

see now how do you like it when someone is a dick to you....

all you need to do is find a crashed RHD drive car and use the parts off of it..search junkyards and so forth even ebay...

and that is the list of parts you will need

so

#1) stop being a dick
#2) click the right buttons on your profile..
#3) think before you post ever again

dude Im not being a dick. The car came from japan as an ST202 with a 3sfe motor. Maybe they have different combos in japan so dont go by just what you can buy in the dealership at your local toyota in the US. It is an import after all.

I only have one thing to say, even though we are from the states, there are more knowledgable people here than in half the countries that have RHD cars, so listen to what they say and stop thinking you are the **** because you have a RHD celica, you arent the only one
