Yea, I wanna take off my dash and paint em as well as change the gauge lights with LEDs. However, I'm curious as to how to do this without setting the airbags. Is there a precaution that I have to take while taking off my dashboard and if so, what do I do?
I wanna install the LEDs and paint the db but I'm a lil afraid that I might mess up and se tit off somehow. Is there a way to turn it off temporarily? I'm not sure, I a noob atm. |

nope they won't go off at all you just simply unplugg them as part of the dash removal...they only go off if the sensors tell them to...aka a collision

Speaking strictly from manuf. recommendations - Remove the Negative Cable battery and wait 90 secs - DEFINiTELY. Even if you don't set them off, you could mess up the electronics and they could go off on you while you are driving.
You can get a battery cable remover from the parts store. I do this every time I expose any wires or electronics to the clumsy end of my metal screwdriver. Make that "Negative Battery Cable" -------------------- 94 CelicaGT producing massive amonts of NOx - UGH!!!
