ok how often are these supposed to go out?? or need to be replaced??

theyre sposed to last the life of the car, however topping off the tank constantly (overfilling it) will kill them. thats why you stop putting in gas when the pump turns off.

he stops when the pump stops him after that he doesnt go any further.

every time? it could be a problem with the purge lines or solenoid, a clogged or pinched line somewhere.

well he is going back to toyota tomorrow beause it happened like 5 months after the last time and they have a 12 month warranty. so we will see what happens.

i *think* that like the 8th gen corollas its know for evap issues. take it to the dealer and get it fixed and make sure he DOES NOT top it off.

well he is older than me and he doesnt top it off. i am usually there when he gets gas and i never see him go over after it shuts off. i think this car is probably known for the evap issues to then cause my brother takes care of his car.
