since you wanted just pics and wanted to see how beautiful the celi is lowered, im gonna share my thoughts about being lowered....bump..oww...bump bump...owww son of a biatch...pothole.....yikessss....there goes a shock....mini bump...enh okay i can take this...crappy roads....good thing for performace shocks...moral of the story is be prepared to replace your shocks if you arent when you lower it. driving slow sux on bumps. but hey your car will look kewl!
these were with sprint springs which had a drop of 1.5" all around. stock wheels had cooper zx2 tires...17s are Motegi FF5 with dunlop fm sports 225/35/17 i think hey i do miss my car being lowered.. but i dont miss the feel or the trucks blinding me with their lights. I'm going all for the performance than looks...I know, by a recent poll that lowering spring are the way to go as far an upgrade in the suspension category...but I wanted to also see if lowering spring make our Celica's look stupid ...you know some of those Civic's that are lowered (way too much)...that looks retarded.
EDIT - here is the poll:http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=36002 This post has been edited by snapshotgt: Jun 13, 2008 - 1:10 PM -------------------- Past: V6 Swapped 6G Celica, E46 BMW M3, Jeep Wrangler TJ

Lowered on Tein SS coilovers, approximately 4-5"in front and 3-4" in rear on stock 15" alloys with a 205/55/15 tire. These are the standard height settings on the coilover per Tein's suggestion, they can go even lower if you don't value ground clearance at all.

![]() 18" wheels, 225/40ZR18 rubber, 25mm drop on TRD springs (ST205 is lower to start with). Monsters speed bumps, monsters everything. ![]() ![]() 17" wheels. 215/40R17 rubber I think. Full Veilside kit. 40mm (possibly more by the looks of it) drop on Spax springs. Leaves paint on speed bumps, dips in the road, kerbs....leaves green paint everywhere. so here is mine, same kit on 18" rims and a 5" drop.....leaves yellow paint everywhere lol... ![]() ![]() This post has been edited by ajmorris1977: Dec 9, 2009 - 4:03 PM -------------------- You're here for a good time, not a long time. - Colin McRae When in doubt... The megans ride amazing, i wanted LOW so i maxed them out in front and even removed 2 of the 3 locking rings for more low, and they still ride awesome! Made them stiff so my car wont bottom out and scrape, you should definitely get them, i have zero problems with them the rears can go an extra 2 inches lower if i wanted but that would be too low,

I'm doing 16x8's with a 0 offset. So the rim will sit right with the body in the rear, poke a bit in the front. Tire stretch too.

I think he is full of it. There is no where near enough poke/camber to be 10" +0 if he really had 10 +0 the front wheels will be sticking out at least 2-2.5 inches and about 1-1.5 on the back. I need neg camber on the rear to fit 8.5 +23 so there s no way those are 10 +0. -------------------- ![]() |

does XXR even make 10" wide 15-16's?.. Not in the 002's. They make them in larger sizes like 17" but idk about 15" - 16". I'm not going quite that low, just low enough to fit the wheel (205/45/R16) in the well with a bit of poke. It'll probably sit right on the tire height because this is my daily. I may lower it right to the tire for some rubbage come meets/cruises lol. -------------------- 1994 Toyota Celica GT-S 5S-FE 190k Miles. Project car 1992 Toyota Celica GT 5S-FE 170k Miles.
