Ok i originally went to ToySport to do the 2nd gen. 3sgte swap for me but i had to change my mind and have someone else do it. Here are the reasons why I didnt nor should anyone else go w/ ToySport for the swap. Well unless you have the money. BUt I do know it will be done right (IN THE 2 WEEKS+ THEY HAVE YOUR CAR).

misc gasket 120.00
timing belt 35.15
tensioner 81.65
idler 48.53
water pump 77.00
thermostat 18.63
oil filter 4.91
fuel filter 30.18
wire set 72.27
cap 37.80
rotor 5.54
Iridium plugs 80.00
Alt. Belt 11.26
PS Belt 14.25
AC Belt 17.95
Hose 11.25
Hose 18.25
service lubricants 80.00 ???? whats this??? do they really need to add this??
throw out bearing 38.00
pilot bearing 12.00
new parts $734.62 (I think it should be a lot less)
Used parts $3,700 (engine $2,700 ALONE, ecu, relays, sensors, airflow meter, misc. hoses)
LABOR $1,780.00 (Hell NO!!)

Pretty much IMO everything i think is way over priced. Its like you have EVERYTHING SHIPPED to you plus tax. Well those are just my 2 cents.

DUCE

p.s are all those the new parts i have to get for the swap?

After you feel the 2nd gen's 3S-GTE, it'll leave you more power thirsty to upgrade to the 3rd gen.

ya its only 30 more hp. you can turn up the boost and get that. i would say that a 2nd gen would be your best bet because easier access to parts. it might not have the same exact power potential but with 3 grand or so it can be around 400hp. maybe more if you got the hook up..

but he's right. and if that doesnt work try finding a small ass dinky town to have a local guy do it. although you will need someone more experienced for the wiring.

chances are you wont need all those parts.

but that would be a really good job and chances are nothing would brake for a long time.

It could be a good idea. 2nd gen block + 3rd gen head...like what scothaniel did.

Ok looks like im gettin the st185 clip shipped by the end of this month $2000. And i guess i will go ahead and buy most of those parts rolleyes.gif . But now i need to make sure i get the right upgraded parts?? Now what would those be??

I have a Blitz BOV, HKS TT, and IC (which i think im gunna switch to MKIII IC).
Is the wiring harness sold separaletly for the TT??

Ok now what i think i need and want... (please feel free to add more or give me ur opinions),

Autometer Gauges - Cobalt black face series
Air/Fuel - Retail =$101.96 NOPI = $69.48
Boost - Retail =$285.55 NOPI = $194.59

Autometer Gauges - Sport Comp. black face series
N20 - Retail =$105.35 NOPI = $71.99 (will add N20 SOON after swap)

92 Toyota Celica Alltrac GT4 Turbo (3sgte, 2.0L)

Bosch
Distributor Cap - Retail =$24.00 NOPI = $15.54
Ignition Distributor Rotor - Retail =$3.23 NOPI =$2.05

Nology
Spark Plug Wires - Retail =$248.95 NOPI =$163.25

Denso
Spark Plugs - Retail =$16.00 EACH NOPI =$10.12 EACH

PCI or Topline
Timing Belt -Retail =$27.00 (pci) NOPI =$16.97
TIming Belt - Retail =$26.10 (topline) NOPI =$21.20

ACT Stage II Clutch - $300 ??

Findanza Aluminum flywheel - $300??

Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulater =$75+ (couldn't find)

Boost Control = $200+ (couldn't find)

Well these pretty much the things I am going to put on right now with the swap. The last 4 things on my list i just wasn't sure of the prices? Plus i don't have enough info to know what i to get?

Last do i need to get new injectors??

Thanx for all your help,

David

The stock 440cc injectors are more then adiquite for the CT26 turbo. No need to upgrade there.

If you can get away with it, ditch the EGR and have a block-off plate made (it would cost around $30). Better idle, more fuel, but more emmisions.

For your BOV, do you have the option to vent back to your intake pipe? It definately helps keep the AFM in check.

Adjustible FPR - good luck finding one for under $150.

Boost control - You can get a good manual boost controller for around $80. I had a 2 stage from www.dejontool.com and it worked great.
