if you are going 3" , a 3" cat is impossible not to be "high flow" , just buy a noname one, it will pass emissions/inspection , and be cheaper

Yeah but for the most part any high flow cat turns into bottleneck at high power levels, I was just wondering what kind of a difference is made by taking off the magnaflow cat at ~300hp ? i suspect it to be less than 5hp but then again I have no clue...

That's weird - living in places like NJ and Houston (me) you would think you would be usd to air pollution. Do you live in a rural part of NJ? I was just there a few months ago and drove from Philly to NYC and then back to my old home town in Westchester/Putnam county Ny. I couldn't believe how much the have cleaned up NYC from the early '90's.

LMAO laugh.gif

So would you say that using 3" magnaflow cat would cause significant loss of flow/power vs. straight pipe ?

edit: I just have to put that line in my signature smile.gif

the big problem with cats, is that they tend to get cloged quickly because turbo cars run so ritch.

i would do a cat with a test pipe to swap out. throw the cat on there for emissions and the test pipe for daily driving.
