I have read some write up on the NSX and they say it handles better than ferrari's. ANd that is pretty impressive considering that is what ferrari's are known for. But i share the same beliefs as all of you...s2000 or a NSX

Civic Si, or an s2000. Although I'd feel a bit weird driving a Civic, it's probably one of the most widely abused cars in terms of rice because of how cheap it is.

Realistically, the best bang for the buck nowadays would probably be a Mitsubishi GS-T or GSX. I'm getting ready to sell my Celica to buy one. If I can find a hardtop GS-T with fairly low miles, I'm gonna jump on it at the first chance I get. I tried looking for an MR-2, but people are *way* too unrealistic when it comes to how much they want for them. I also considered a 00-01 Celica GT-S, but again, they're a bit too expensive and lack a lot of torque, but Lift sounds addicting to me.

If it had to be a honda and money wasn't an issue:
1. Ariel Atom (not sure if that counts as a honda)
2. NSX
3. S2000

but if i seriously had to buy a honda using my own money:
1. 1992 and under Civic hatch (as a beater car)

My g/f has a 99 Eclipse RS re-painted lexas blue. (Changes colors) The 94-99 gs-t i hear have a lot of problems and the GSX. Thats why she bought an RS so she could turbo it and wouldn't worry about the problems as much.

The eclipses of that year were ALL prone to crank walk unfortunatly, turbo cars just showed the problem more often. By boosting that car your going to heighten the problem, the trannys arnt exactly rock solid. But a nicely done well tuned eclipse is a nice freeway drive. Not trying to put you down, my friends gone through 3 haha.

But if i had to choose, 05' Long Beach Blue NSX w/ Onyx leather interior on gold Volk TE-37's.

Yeah, the dreaded crankwalk problem.

I've read over on clubdsm that it affects certain years as well. Not any of the newer ones (98-99 GSX/T), but, the mid 90's were prone to the problem.

Also, as I understand it, you can get it fixed by Mitsu because they identify a problem associated with crankwalk as a malfunction, but i'm not entirely sure about it.

I'm trying to stick with a 98-99 GS-T/GSX if I can find one.

If you had to stay with Toyota and purchase something newer, what would you guys consider?

I'd probably try for a turbo'd 7th gen GT, or a hardtop 2000+ MR-S Spyder, with 2ZZGE swap.

If I had to get a Honda, I would probably either get like an 01 v-tec Prelude or like an 03 and up 6-speed Accord Coupe.

For any kind of other car I'm not sure. I test drove a few Pontiac GTO's and they drive VERY well: handling of a German car with the muscle of an American sports car. Too bad it looks like a friggen Cavalier. I've also looked at Audis like the A4 and TT, both neat cars but eh wouldn't wanna spend that much money. Also like the Nissan 350Z, that's a cool one in my price range. (If you all can't tell I'm looking for a new car haha to make my Celica a DD haha)

If I were to get a brand new Toyota car I'm not sure what it would be. I'd say either a FJ Cruiser or supercharged Camry

ell if it was a honda i would get a 95 civic coupe with an ls-vtec swap and then go turbo, or 93-95 delsol with a k24 in it and go all motor. and if i got another toyota. iam not sure what counts here is it newer thatn what i used to have or newer in what has just come out? regardless i would either get a mr2 turbo, and from the factory right now either a tc or a solara

any civic that is 98 and newer and in good condition(great mpg)
s2000(great looking and handling)
prelude(2000ish good daily driver)
rsx type s(even better daily driver than prelude)

honda makes some nice cars, and i take them for what they are, sporty cars with good mpg. my WRX is for going fast biggrin.gif still gets 28-30mpg on the freeway too!

im actually looking to get a good daily driver. i have plans to pull 600+hp out of my wrx, by time that happens, gas will probably be almost $5 a gallon, lol

CBR1000 RR or Interceptor

Der.

I also wouldn't mind the Acura TL with a six speed.

Any other Honda I wouldn't be caught dead in... you're just asking for trouble.

As far as Toyota is concerned, I love all their stuff old and new, but the only new vehicle I'd consider getting is the FJ Cruiser... which I plan on getting soon.

The only other import I'd want to actually drive and own is a Miata... the old one, NOT the new one, puke. They really ruined an awesome suspension setup. Of course it'd need a turbocharger for good measure.

It's hard to impress me when it comes to cars. I don't buy into the hype of a lot of what's out there. I've driven too much and been impressed with too little.

i know most of us dont like hondas that much. but if we absolutely had too, which honda would u want to own, and maybe what other sport compact cars would you take if you didnt have your 6th gen?

I own a Honda 95 EX coupe. It's not as nice as my Celica. I don't like it as much either. I don't belong to (or even visit) any Honda forums. I probably never will.
I had to get another make and model vehicle I would probably get another Datsun 240Z. I used to have an orange '73. I sold it. I couldn't afford to maintain three cars.

There's not a week that goes by that I don't miss it. It's different than the Celica. The Celica is more precise, smooth and reliable. I don't really like it more than the Celica. The 240Z was much more basic. I'd like to have both.

If I got another 240Z I'd probably go with a different drivetrain.
Last time I used modified Corvette parts. I had the engine out three different times. Each time. I added more power. The first time: a stock 1970. The 2nd time: mild Crane cam and a good rebuild. The 3rd time: aluminum heads and good street cam for the 355V8, automatic tranmisssion and a corvette rear differential.

Pushrod V8's have rpm limitations. Next time I'd probably go with a 4.6 literV8 cobra engine, manual 6-speed, Ford Expedition differential (I think). Eventually. I'd have to go with more boost than stock...

I love Hondas. The new Accords are nice. I want one. I wouldn't mind owning a prelude either.

Well guys...I may be leaving the toyota family for a 2002 S2000. Just happens that we have a STEAL of a deal on one in our wholesale lot. Silver 2002, 11,000 miles, amazing condition, $16,115. Since it was in a small accident the dealer won't sell it on the front lot, and I'm second on the list to get it (the first guy is unsure, he puts his name on every nice car lol)

so it may be that I have me an S2000 by the end of the day tomorrow!
