this is a direct add on right? like no wire cutting or anything?

These replace your current tails and the wiring, they are plug and play 100%.

just in case anyone doesn't know, I will explain how to put these on your car - with a pic smile.gif

1 unbolt the old tails (3 10mm nuts - yellow arrows)
2 take off your inner hatch plastic (2 pins at upper corners (red arrow) and 3 plastic screw things on the bottom edge)

3 unplug you old tail light harnesses
4 remove the tails and wire harnesses completely
5 put new JDM tail in and plug in new harnesses.
6 put rear plastic back on

it seems a lot harder than it actaully is. Once you get your new JDM tails in your hands you will understand everything. It is super easy and can be done in about 10 minutes.

Like the pic shows. It's fairly simple once you start popping those fasteners out. Just an FYI though, once you think you got that rear panel out with all it's fasteners, you'll notice that you'll have to pop out the side panels where the strut housing is as well. At least that's what happened with me when I put my JDM tails in. I needed more room than I thought so I had to start relieving the side panels.

Oh, just a reminder, make sure you keep track of all the fasteners you're taking out so you won't lose them. I know there was at least 10+. smile.gif

I am looking to replace my rear speakers also, however before I tear the car apart, I need to know what size speakers fit there. Are they 6 x 9 ? I have a 1997 Limited Ed. Celica. Also I'm not sure what size the fronts are either. I wanted to buy them online before I take it all apart. I hope this makes sense to you all. Thanks.

7" Front, 6.5" Rear

1" Tweeter, 4" Mid range door speakers, IF you have those options.
