ok this is ridiculous, ive got the bumper on but it looks terrible, theres gaps everywhere, on the bottom of the highbeams, on the fenders, on the hood, the bumper doesnt even reach the passenger side where it should go

did you guys cut off like half of the bottom of your front bumpers or anything? ive already cut off the 4 pieces that mount to the crash bar and trimmed the outside of the mouth of the 95 front bumper, its not very noticeable yet but it doesnt seem like i can do much more cutting without me seriously having the most ghetto 3sgte swapped ever.. i already have black doors, and a few small dents.. the exterior of this car is seriously depressing me.

im so close to just dropping it off at the body shop and telling them to make it look perfect and paying whatever astronomical charge they are gonna ask.

i will get pics i just wanted to know if people had to do a lot of cutting on their bumpers, mine is already mounted as far back as it will go (it now touches the lower frame)

also my intercooler sticks out just a little under the bumper.. i know my freaking intercooler isnt that big, and people have run bigger so i have no idea wtf to do

somethign definitly seems wrong, the crash bar is like visible in the top right and left corners of the mouths, i was almost positive that the crash bar was supposed to be completely concealed by the bumper.. i think it might be that my crash bar mounts are a little screw, i guess the solution to this problem is just sledgehammer everything straight frown.gif

it will all depend on the size of your intercooler. i have a small one, so all i had to do was trim a little around the sides where the ic piping goes around. maybe like a 1/4 trim on each side at amost.

if you have a big ic, then you could have other issues..... thats why LOTS of VERY DETAILED pics will help.

Here's a couple pics of mine that might help:

The cutting that was done on mine was the plastic underside cover piece - not the bumper itself.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

well the bumper fits fine with no crash bar and no intercooler on, so tomorrow im gonna start from scratch, this time im going to mount the intercooler to the crash bar while the crash bar is off the car and then mount the crash bar on the car, that way i know the intercooler is secure.

ill post updates tomorrow. today was very frustrating frown.gif

You guys have the gt4 bumper, you may have different clearences. I think my IC is like 26" long or something like that I had to cut about a 1/4" or 1/2" out of the corners of my bumper to make room for the IC piping. Make sure your IC is mounted far enough back on the crash bar to let the bumper slide on.

If the bumper rested on its side for a long time, it might have tweaked. My GT-4 bumper is all bent and stuff because it layed on its side for a few years.
