i was just curious where some of you people put your amps to save space (since the celi is so small)
i was planning to put subs in place of the rear speakers so i won't have a custom enclosure... the thing is... if i jsut mount it in the trunk floor.. how do i get to my spare tire? and if i put stuff in the trunk... it'll like scratch it and stuff... then i thought about mounting it on the back of the rear seats... but not sure if that'll mess up the leather seats then i thought about mounting them on the underside of the hatch plastic... but not sure if that piece is strong enough to hold them... or even possible to mount it since it's so thin... and there would be no place to hide the wires if i put it there what do you think about the above ideas/concerns i had? any opinions? i ran out of ideas on where else i could mount it... -------------------- |

Depending on how big the amp is, either the back of the seat, or Under the Front passenger seat.

DTE would mounting it on the back of the seat ruin the seat? i thought about under the front passenger seat.. but then won't someone step on it when they get in/sit in back? -------------------- |

depends on the size of the AMP. I have a power inverter on my car right under the passenger seat ( came with the car ) and I noticed it like two weeks ago. when I was cleaning the carpet. so If your amp it's not too big you should be ok.

I placed the amp on the back of the back seats. Wouldn't the amp get very hot if it
is placed under the seat? Some amps have a thermal protection that could trigger if the amp is placed under the seat. Well, here is how I did it. Beware, this is an early stage of the setup. Looks waaay nicer and cleaner now

I took out my rear speakers and put one of my amps in there, mounted to a board that's then mounted to the speaker bracket holes. It works perfectly in there.

Fabric doesnt matter the back is the same. Its the portion that faces the trunk.

I mounted mine to the side of the plastic... very simple to do, just pulled out plastic piece.. drilled 4 holes, screwed it in..

Ive got one under the drivers side seat and one under the pass; there's more room for a bigger amp under the drivers side.
