Yesterday i drive in the freeway in el paso tx and my car goes to 60mph @3000rpm on the 5th Gear this is normal? i think that is overrev

its how manual cars are geared. your dad is used to an automatic with overdrive that puts the car at lower rpm's when cruising.

unless u got a 6th gear.. ex: se-r spec v or 7th gen celica gt-s.. they are at about 2500-2800 goin 70mph. but yeah our cars are gear like that.
