Meet the Mercedes...

Short history: I used to drive this before i got Celi. When i got my car my dad took this one, shortly after it broke. Don't ask me whats wrong because i have no idea. All i know is it has been parked where it sits now for 3 years. Anyway- My dad is building a pen for my lovely dog. This pen is going where the car is, so we need to move it.

Some pics just for the hell of it:

It doesnt look like this anymore after yesterday... no more grille on one side, and we ripped the headlight out.

I'm not going to get into what i went through yesterday. The car started, but the brakes are locked. It wont move at all. Any ideas on what to do to get this thing moving?

we tried both. not moving. My dad has a big 4wd truck and we tried pulling it, and pushing and pulling at the same time, the car is NOT moving.

well heres the deal, if u cant roll it at all, where it sits now its gonna be basicly impossible to get a jack under it to lift the car so u can work on the brakes. So the answer is drag it out, or chop it up. Probally the first is the better for the 2 choices but if uve already tried it then idk what to say.

well here is the easy anser tina...jack it up remove the wheel pull off the caliper so that you have no brakes... tow it out at a slow rate so that you can easily stop it via foot power...takes some time but if the brakes are totally frozen thats your option

well im sure i can figure out a way to get a jack under there. It's in the mud, but if i find a peice of wood or something to get the jack on. There just isnt much room to work with. Idk why they let that poor thing sit to long.

Get some heavy duty furniture movers.

IPB Image

you can get some "off road" ones somewhere I think. You might try a local moving company. Not Sure. Jack the car up on those, and it shold be easier to move. Althought it looks like the car is in dirt, so that might nor work. Depends on how hard the ground is. I know this works for a car on asphalt (Great way to steal someones car when you don't want to actually break in. 4 guys with 4 of these things can get a car in about a minute, jack it up, slip the mover under, let it down. Repeat. Then push car wherever you want.)

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.

Once you have it running try going forward
and backward under the cars own power
also try spraying a little wd40 on the calipers.
My truck got rusted solid after sitting a long
time after being shut down with water in the
rear drum. I broke one wheel loose and with
much effort and tire smoke I got the other one
free.

Does it have drums in the rear if so that
is prolly what is stuck.
Edit: don't get to crazy stuff can break, axles ujoints
trannys. I would think the drive train in that car is
fairly strong.

easy. get that truck back, and get a hose. spray the crap out of the dirt around it till its soaked, and pull, will slide the car right out brakes or no brakes, also get some boards about as wide as the tires and about 4 feet long and wedge then under the front wheels (if you can jack it up a bit of if you can dig a little dich in front of them as a surface for it to slide out of the ground on. once its up the breaks may break lose and start spinning, otherwise they will have to be removed unless its not gana ever be driven again, or being moved more then a short distance.
