i am having a issue with the radio and clock. like sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt. i think there is a short somewhere but i cant figure out where. when the radio goes off the clock goes off also. but then i am in the middle of driving it will come back on then after a couple minutes go back off. i rewired the harness where else should i look? any one else had this issue thanks.

What did you rewire?

I'd check and make sure that the 14 pin connector 3C at JB#3 directly behind the clock is pluged in securely. The clock, radio, and cigarette lighter all have wires going to that connector. If that's not it let me know and I'll look into it somemore.

is your alternator dying? do your lights dim at night? maybe a loose fuse?

would this happen the same way on a mr2 and i rewired the radio harness from the radio to the connectors in the car. its not the alternator the battery is staying charged and i know this because i sat in it cleaning it for a hour and the car didnt die or have trouble starting up. i am thinking it might be a fuse or a swire shorting.

Actually I have the same problem with mine, but it only does it when its hot out. I've never had a problem with the altenator or anything else, just the stereo and clock thing like you explained. I almost bought a new stereo but if others are having issues then I won't yet.
