I just have a stx coupe, im getting a baseline. what can i do (not costing anything) to get the best performance from it? everything is in new condition so no worrys about that.

I autoX also using a stock 97 Celica ST

mess around with the air pressure.. I ran 42front 36 rear and I was still getting tire flex. The best thing to do without any cost at all is study the track.. when "walking the track" try to walk the same way you would drive the track. It might look wierd but alot of people do it. Watch how similar cars run. Think ahead! and look ahead to get ready for the next corner. just HAVE FUN!
