So I was driving today and was just thinking: Can you take the p/s (passenger side) p/w (power window) switch on the d/s panel and replace it w/ another d/s p/w switch in order to have the same capabilities (roll-down window lock so you won't have to hold down the button) for both windows from the d/s? Am I confusing? I think I confused myself but trust me, it makes sense!! Anyone ever try this? Cheers in advance for any info!

Oh yeah! And don't think I don't know it sounds soo lazy but hey!, can it be done?

I WAS THINKING THE SAME EXACT THING!

i'm guessing there is a relay of some sort that would need to be wired in to possibly make it work, i bet someone will know the answer biggrin.gif

I don't think you can very easily, since the Toyota control unit controls the one-touch functionality.

You could, however, get something like a DEI 530t window module that can make your existing switches work with one-touch. That would be easier and cheaper I'm sure.

its possible but it would be tricky
the way the one touch window button works is by digital logic latching circuits. For that to work you need a "set" and "reset". On the driver side there is a switch in the window mecanism that acts as the "reset". So when you click the pw window switch, thats "set" and it latches the circuit to hold the relay closed (ON) until the "reset" switch is reached by the window and the circuit opens the relay (OFF).

The tricky part is that you'd need annother latching circuit and implement it in the window switch AND you would have to have a "reset" switch in the passenger side window mecanism to unlatch (reset) the circuit.
