so here is my story... while im still good and pissed about it

i go to a best buys. park my car, got inside for 10min and come back out. try to start the car....NOTHING. it just wont start. so here i am trying to think of what it could be and do some ghetto parking lot mechanics to figure out the problem. a few of the car guys from best buy come out to try to help out. all cool guys that own jap cars. then some customer shows up out of nowhere. stands around ... and starts to throw little comments out. like " oh thats the problem with 4cyl cars" . "you wouldnt have this issue with an american car". so i say to him " oh really ? i never knew domestics were the realiable ones" . then he starts saying how he has a 67 mustang at home that would blow the doors off my car. so, right now im thinking, wtf? this is not the ****ing time or the place to be talking **** to me. i was ready to punch the guy out. so trying to be calm about it ....i say " dood, you clearly dont know anything about cars, let alone about my car or what it can do". the guy says some more ****, and then gets into ......A TOYOTA CAMRY! ...and best of all... hes in the bitch seat and his girlfriend is driving. hahahahaha

so i start going off about what an idoit we was for trying to talk crap about jap cars and yet hes getting into one. then some other guy walks up and starts saying.... " you know, you shouldnt talk bad about that guy" . i looked at the guy and said "some asshole tries to talk **** about how much better his car is when im having problems, and you think im the one out of line? that guy can take his imaginary mustang and go f ck himselft".... so the guy walks away after i said that, and ....... GETS INTO THE SAME CAMRY! HAHAHAAHAH man, sometimes i dont understand people

i dont really know. something to do with the fuel pump relay or the fuel pump itself or maybe a short in the wiring harness.

i briged the diagnostic box to make the fuel pump run at all times and it fired right up. then i took the paper clip out and it kept running. makes no sense to me.

when something like that happens to me is when i say, "wanna race the twin turbo mustang at my shop? how about the single turbo one?"

the words turbo and mustang usually shut them up. sometimes u get the idiot that will bring up lag, to which i reply

My friend, I feel sorry for you because you are the one in a billion case when a toyo breaks down and you had to go through talking to that idiot when you were worried on what the fck happened with your car.

Lots of times people do the same thing here in my country about European cars when 5-10 years ago nobody would touch them. Now every a-hole has Mercs and BMWs (always up to 2000 cc mind you so they are nothing special)

I fail to see the problem here. It's not the obvious idiots that bother me; they have no clue what they are talking about when it comes to anything (the suspect in your case). It's the ones that THINK they know what they're talking about that bother me. I just can't stand to talk about cars with people any more because I just get so sick of how ignorant people are. "That celica is a 1.8, my dodge shadow is a 2.2, that extra displacement means it has more power and is faster." shut the hell up. I also love people that bring up GM history and talk about how "reliable" this vehicle or that vehicle was. You know 99% of the time I can defend domestics better than domestic fans themselves. I've stood up for my friends f-bodies dozens of times against import lovers and I honestly don't even like the cars (but they aren't without their strengths).

sounds like some of the guys i work with. They always gimme sh*t for driving a yota. They are always saying how crappy they are and how import cars are great on gas and how they never compaire to USDM cars and blah blah blah. One of the guys i work with is a real old school hard core street rodder, and was bitchin and complaining about how much import and jap cars suck. Then my buddy rolls in in his 460rwhp 300zx tt, 10 minutes later, his friend with a 91 GTR and about an hour l8er one of the guys from the local supra club with 1200whp supra. Also, i let one of them drive my car one day to go check on his van, he got in, drove..came back like 10 min l8er and was like "wow your car is nice. drives nice, pulls nicely, handels great. I underestimated it"

I have no problems with the Domestic drivers. Im friends with alot of them, and even go on cruises with them. Its the Civics and other kids with parents money that I have problems with.

Its funny, where I live theres lots of that.

American this, displacement that.....and plenty of talk of, "my stepdads cousins uncles fathers grandpappys Chevy Vega with a 450 big block" or something of the like. Usually when this type hears me talking about cars, they think if they bust out the domestic card its the easy way to show vehicular dominance over someone, AKA tiny unit disorder.

Unfortunately for them I usually say something like, "yea, domestic is good stuff.....I worked on my brothers 9 second Camaro yesterday", and they usually don't know what to say to that. You show that you respect both, but you prove that their BS tactics, lack of technical abilities and know-it-all attitude are stupid and they shut up right away. I find that most people who talk trash are EXACTLY like what Art was talking about, they drive a junk car and just want to feel superior when they see you sporting something impressive.

It takes a little charisma to outwit people like that, usually they're not very intellegent and have nothing to show for all their talk. They can like what they want, but I'll stick to the feel of a tight and balanced and hellacously quick turbo Japanese car....thank you.
