just had a bad evening. spent 1/2 an hour upside-down working on my neon courtesy lamps only to have "A" crush one of them. she was in a rush getting out of the car and "didn't remember" it was there. this was 5 minutes after i got her to help me with the job. i know being 14 can be distracting and self-serving at times but sheit!!! anyway i over-reacted and had one of my "fits" slamming sheit around and barking at everyone. sheit what a fouckup i am sometimes. i wasn't mad at "A", just mad and frustrated. "N" put the screws to me and really got my blood boiling because to her it's all about the car. i couldn't even get through to her that it's about pride in my possessions and the work and care i put into the vehicle. it could have been a foucking hooked rug or a piece of pottery...she just doesn't get it. anyway right now all i want to do is finish putting the car back together and selling it to the first person that makes a reasonable offer. sheit, i may let it go for less than i paid for it and fouck the extra 5G$ i've sunk into it.

i need a hug (or a drink, but "N" hid all the liquour after i went to the fridge for a barley chill pill...can't run to the booze to solve my problems i guess. BTW i drink about 8 beers a week laugh.gif )

APS

r.

take it from the king of overreacting and rage.....just walk away....come back in 20 minutes. Go get a drink, take a walk, or punch the living crap out of something (some non-living object) but im the same way, especially if its something i feel very passionatly about, and they just dont get it.

about selling your car...wait a few days, then make a decision on that.

again man, last night Hurley97 hit a grate on the highway and ****ed up her tire. While we sat there waiting for batman772 to bring on of his extras, she mentioned how pissed/annoyed/upset she was about ****ing up her tire. (shes had a bunch of tire issues prior to this) I told her to look at it this way, "all u did was ruin a tire, yeah it sucks...but think of all the other things that could have happend. Coulda blown the tire and gone into the guardrail, or lost control and swerved across 3 lanes of traffic and got seriously hurt."

So u destroyed a neon bulb...clean it up....go out tomorow, get another.....its not the end of the world. Yeah it sucks and annoys u now...but in the grand scheme of things, its not a biggy.

yeah i know it's just a neon bulb. the real problem is how i reacted. had to go to therapy for exactly this. i was doing so well and things were really great here and at work. i am just so fracking dissapointed in myself right now. i feel selling the Celi will solve the problem, but then the attention will just be focused on my next hobby/project. i just need a warm 6gc hug...i suck so bad

Don't dwell too much on that if you can—when I'm struggaling to kick something, the thing that kills me the most is when I start thinking about how bad I screwed up. The best way for me to get on my feet is just the realize I messed up, ask God for forgiveness (if you don't believe in anything, skip this step wink.gif ) and then not worry about it. If I start flipping out about how bad I screwed up, and how much I wasted, I usually end up doing it again (like: I already screwed up, so why not do it again.)

my 2¢. Either way, it doesn't sound to me like you over reacted that badly. We all would get ticked about something like that (at least all of us who are human; certainly me).

I keep my mind on my loved ones, and that keeps my thoughts clear and on the right path. smile.gif It's easy to beat yourself up, but instead, PICK yourself up. Good luck, you'll do better next time.

thanks all. this place rox! feeling much better today. smoothed everything over with the family and they forgive me although they still don't understand the humanity (thanx Scooby!) of my reaction.

BTW - the "selling the Celi will fix everything" was childish and rash. how can i give it up, i haven't even posted the results of almost 2 months work...please stand by.

Man every step in the right direction is a good one. Don't believe the lie that one episode negates all the positive progress. Fixing habits like these are a process. I've been there (am still there) keep your head up and look forward at what you can do right in the future, not back at what you can't change.
