I just bought a bottle of this Hydroxycut stuff for 70 dollars to go along with my routine diet and exercise and was wondering if anybody has had any experiences with this or if it even works?

My friend takes it. Its only really meant to be used if u need to lose weight for like an upcoming event because it just takes away your water weight. I think ur better off going to the doc and asking for something personally.

I have used it to get ripped before.

Drink alot of water, and 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off.

I would take it in the mornings, then before lunch and then at about 4-5 so I wasn't up all night. And if you are really reactive to caffine watch out. They also work better than no-doze for me.

If you want something to help you lose weight get Lipo 6. That stuff will make you lose weight and you wont be all jittery and crap. The downside to Hydroxycut is the amount of pills you have to take. Because for the amount of money you spent it sounds like you got the Hardcore one. I would give the Lipo 6 a try. We sell waaaaayyyyy more of that than the Hydroxycut here at GNC.

I got pills from my doctor and insurance doesnt cover them :-( 120 bucks a month. Now if I could just remember to take them every day rather than here and there then id be doing alright.

this thread reminds me i should go out to my car and get em. Thanks :-P

I wouldnt trust the stuff kindasad.gif

I dunno, most pills out there dont work... Like they'll work while your on the pill, but when you get off them you'll just gain the weight back... Seems kinda pointless to me to use them... But thats just me.

Exercise/Healthy eating FTW! laugh.gif

holy ****, $70??? I used to work at a health food store and we sold it for like... $40/bottle canadian, so less for you. but yeah, i don't think it actually.. "works" as Sabrina said, while you're on it you may notice a bit of results, but you'll have to be on it forever if you want to keep the weight off.

The diet and exercise thing will only work for certain people. Some people no matter how hard they try just cant lose weight just dieting alone. Thats why they try pills and other things. Not everyone was blessed with a speedy metabolism. And the eat less exercise more thing is the wrong way to lose weight. If you do that your body will start using its muscles for food.

Stacker 2 is a good "fat burner". It was better when it had Ephedra but its still one of the best sellers.

you can train your metabolism to speed up. And its not about eatting less working out more, its eatting properly and working out properly. For instance your supposed to eat 5 small meals a day, granted you eat properly in those 5 small meals, go running for 30 mins a day, and after 3 or 4 weeks, tell me you havent lost weight. And anytime you do ANYTHING your body will use some muscle for energy, thats why people losing weight and people body building eat 2 completly different diets. The best time to exercise is in the mornings right after you wake up, you have some energy from sleeping, but you have no food in your system. So go running and your body will draw energy from fat right away, then after you get your shower, eat a well balanced breakfast. Its not really hard to lose weight I have a pretty slow metabolism and have lost 17 lbs in the past 2 months and Im feelin better than ever.

I work at GNC and we have MassXXX. Is that it? Im pretty sure its the same thing. All it is is a protein powder with 50+ grams of protein. That stuff is expensive. You can take any protein to put on muscle. As long as you check the sugar, carbs, and sodium and make sure theyre all low you will be okay. I know that Muscletech just came out with their version of a mass gainer called MassTech. Its a really good tasting, and effective weight gainer. Another good company is Natures Best(Isopure). They make a weight(mass) gainer with no sugar, carbs, or sodium(if there is sodium its really low). Those are the 2 I would look at.

Since you live in the US you can also try this free website: myfoodpyramid.gov and mypyramidtracker.gov to keep track of what you eat and how much you excercise to keep your nutrition and workouts balanced...

also, if you're focusing on packing on muscle, your workouts should be focused more on strength training, not cardio. I learned this the hard way when did strength training while trying to get leaner, and I bulked up in no time and looked like a guy almost (I'm not a guy! laugh.gif )...wasn't what I was looking for, but boy THAT was definitely muscle packing at its best, and I didn't take any supplements.

What you do is get to a gym and lift weights, and instead of doing more reps/sets, you just add more and more weight. (If you add more reps/sets but keep the same generally low weights, you will develop a more toned, leaner look.) It all has to do with how musles tear (good tears!) Heavy weights tear hard and rough, so the rebuilt muscle becomes huge...otherwise, the muscle heals more smoothly and with more definition...

PM me if you have questions, I can go on and on about this, I work out a lot wink.gif

ive been lifting weights since i was in high school, i just never really gave the much attention to how i lift.

ill usually just bench. then do some sit-ups, pushups, treadmill, etc....and what not. Not really in any specific order or anything...i just do it all randomly. so I should pay more attention to HOW i lift and WHAT i lift.

is that what you mean.

exactly...you can keep doing weights that you're used to, but also think about where you want to pack this muscle on. If you want more muscle on your arms work the do bicep curls and tricep extensions, more muscular legs do squats and presses, etc. Again, try to increase weight slowly every other time you work out. If after 10 reps you feel like you can do more, you should have used more weight. Don't "just keep going," it'll give you the lean musclues, if you want big guns you need to lift big weights, even if its for les reps.

ope this helps smile.gif

If you don't have the money/time to go to the gym, try buying some weights from KMart so you can do quick workouts at home or in your dorm during your free time. If possible, look for dumbells and barbells that you can adjust the weight on, so that you can increase the weight every other workout or so until you reach your max weight. Workouts to get buff don't have to be long, because you can actually add so much weight that you're only doing 3-4 reps of the heavyest weight you can handle.

It's the toning workouts that take long, because those invovle endurance training...like 4 sets of 15 reps with less weight. But that's not for getting buff, that's more for the ladies that want to get that nice, lean, overall athletic look that we see on hydroxycut commercials...

that's all advice for muscle building...if you want to reduce bodyfat, I again really recommend myfoodpyramid.gov and mypyramidtracker.gov to leep track of your caloric intake and expediture, and a little cardio eac day always helps...even if it's just a good long walk...

Its all about your diet and eating right.

I have switched to eating 6 smaller meals a day of proper healthy food. I am following the Abs Diet, from the editor of MensHealth magazine and I have lost over 60 pounds in 7 months. I really am doing nothing when it comes to exercise, basically all in diet. I have completely sped up my metabolism.

I used to think nothing was possible, then I tried the Abs Diet. I am now in better shape then I was in high school when I was playing on numerous sports teams.
