After fueling, lift the hose with the handle still depressed to
get the gas in the hose below filler cap. Actually a person could
get a dollar in gas and almost another dollar free. Unless
the person in front of you has drained the hose as well.

I know you mean just emptying the pipe out from the pump to the nozzle but surely if you keep the handle pressed it will just keep pumping petrol?
Oh and I did this once and it added money onto the pump so I haven't done it since.
maybe your pumps are different to ours though.

It only works on pumps with a lever type switch. ( lift handle type)
when finished shut off switch at pump- re-depress nozzle handle,
gas in line will continue to flow from shut off valve to nozzle. loop in
hose has more. You are kind of ripping off the next guy to use the pump,
but who is to say the guy before you didn't do the same thing.

if i understand this correctly when the hose is in a U shape, u lift the bottom of the hose up and 'flush' out the extra gas.

i get it. the pump should have an on/off switch. so after pumping to the desired amount, you shut off the switch at the pump. then depress the handle and lift the hose to get the remaining gas inside the hose.

haha, yeah just stop off at all the stations in town and just empty all the pipes into your tank, end up with a full tank for nothing haha.

^^^ I wouldn't go around draining every hose in town,
the Idea is to get the rest of the gas out of the hose
you used to pump after paying. I'm not sure how it could be illegal
if you aren't pumping and driving away without paying.
Possably immoral.lol

dont think it would work, like if you push the handel the pump goes, like are you trying to say, once is auto clicks off push it again and with it auto shut off lift the handel and let the excess drip down, only issue is that when you tilt it up your gana let fresh air in and the auto stop is gana release starting the pump again.

I think i'ts very pump spacific or i'm not understanding it right.

is it worth it though? like legaly there is nothing wrong with shanking the last bit but like if its already gone though the pump you already payed for it, or are you saying, before you even put money on the pump clear the lines with what the other guy in front of you payed for, (nothing bad about taking what the other guy left ya smile.gif ) I just dont see the guin, its such a small amount of gas.
