As i am still not a 6th gen owner, i dont know what ill want/need to buy to my future car.
But its most likely the 6th gen ill buy will be stock, or next to stock, so ill start looking around for custom parts in advance.

I wont be satisfied with the stock exhaust, so i turn to you guys.
I want something that sound deeper and more aggresive, but not louder then stock. Id prefer if i can cruise at 120 km/h without having to scream when talking in the car smile.gif
Performance gain is of no importancy for me, but of course i wouldnt mind it.

Also, as always, the cheaper it can be the better for me!

So can anyone tell me what i should be looking at? A complete system, or just a muffler or what?

And tips, links and pointers are very much appreciated!

im buying a 2.0

if i remove the rear muffler, wouldnt it be completely outrageously loud?
As i said, i dont want it to sound louder then stock, just deeper and...well better smile.gif

Without the muffler it will hardly be noticeable over stock.. I went with the RACTIVE muffler and its a little louder with a deeper tone, one of the less expensive and looks good.

Magnaflow is a good looking muffler that sounds good. Good price and come in different styles.

i found a movie clip where someone drove a mazda with a magnaflow muffler with resonator..

The sound was exactly what i was looking for (though i couldnt make out if it might have been too loud or not).

But what is a resonator? and where should i order a magnaflow muffler and resonator for a 1994 celica?

1.8 here.

tho i do have the ebay $100 header, which now with the heatwrap has made the tone a little deeper. the 2nd clip was on a cold engine with cold exhaust, the 1st was a hot engine without the tailpipe, which also changed the tone a little. i'd say thata signifigantly different than stock, tho the stock exhaust on the celica may be less conservative than it is on the corolla/prizm

1.8L as well
this is what mine sounds like http://s49.photobucket.com/albums/f261/air...¤t=MVI_0763.flv

2.25" catback and no resonator
sounds kinda like bitters but w/out a header
cost about $210~ which is a little more expensive than some but alot cheaper than most
and i can hear just fine on the freeway

$50 for the tail pipe at a muffler shop down the street from me. $20 materials for the peice of pipe, $70 total. maybe i'll get a better video of a straight line WOT pull from a standstill up through 1st and into 2nd. it gets louder than the clips show, which i sort of dislike.
