My celica is going to be the daily driver so i am going back to some normal items.
pics are in my profile of anything i would be selling.
taking offers of 500+ on the lights (600 will take em)
they have no marks or wear and are like the day i bought em cause i never drove my car much.

ex: selling things rather than having em get ruined in bad weather.
i might have to drive the car in the winter snow..... Not a good thing!

Hood has already been sold!

Edit: I am selling the audio system in the trunk too

if you look above i said i am only considering offers over 500. anything less i wont even look at cause it is not worth my time. NO Lowball offers will get a response from me. These lights are "mint" and i am not going to give them away so if i get 600 or best offer over 500 and somebodys stock good condition lights i will make a deal.
Nobody has dibs on em ...this is a who got $ right now deal!!!!!
So until i personally post that they have been sold ...they are still for sale.
Somebody who posted first about them dont have any advantage.

c'mon man. read. i've taught you better than this.

600 OBO(over 500) + good condition stocks. no dibs. first with money and lights = person to get the JDMs. if you only want the lows, he will only get rid of them if someone else wants the highs, and he still gets a full set of stock celica lights, along with the money he is looking for. this isn't rocket science everyone.

Yep it's pretty straight foward... Any body else doing jdm fronts for sure and would like to save some $$$$$$$$$$$$$ let me know. I have already ordered my highs and they should be here in a day or two, so I only need the lows. Problem is I only have 1 light that is undamaged from the accident (driver low). the driver high seems to get condensation sometimes. The passenger low is destroyed and the glass on the passenger high is cracked. So if any body that has driver side damage is doing jdm front lights we could combine our stockers and split the jdms. If not I'm gonna just have to order them new. Just an idea for someone else in the same situation as me. Thanks.... David

highs are approx 187 each, new. (approx 375 for the set)
lows are approx 238 each, new. (approx 477 for the set)

i know, because i just bought them from jay marks toyota. if you like, i can find the invoice and photograph it.

based on my limited mathematic abilities, if you want to divide this up completely based on the ratio of the cost differential, here is how to:

375 + 477 = 852 (total market price)

now, 600 is the asking price, so say: 600 / 852 ~= 0.704

what does that mean? you are paying 70.4% of the total market price.

apply that 70.4% to the prices of the highs and lows exclusively:

375 * 0.704 = 264
477 * 0.704 = 335.80

20cents missing, but take the 80 and missing 20cents, add it to the 264, and blammo.

$335 + stock for the lows.
$265 + stock for the highs.

that is the most directly representational prices that could be asked, based on the market value, and his asking price.

the main point is to say that you can't get the stock highs for 250.

Ouch! Didn't expect such a hostile response. The math is great, thanks. It really shows that over retail price this is a good deal, but the theory of your "main point" is flawed. It would be true if you said you can not get the stock JDM highs for $250 if you walk into your local dealer and pay list price. There are other options to paying full retail, and I'm sorry that you were unaware of them. For instance there are many dealers around the country that will sell you these at 25% discount, or you could do as I did... order them from ebay. Also you have forgotten to add the value of the stock lights into the equation, true to some they are worth very little, but fact is if you want to quote retail prices for used lights... you must do the same for these.

187/each is not full list price. it is at a substantial discount. as is the 238/each for the lows. they retail for approx 355 each. i will provide a picture of my invoice when i get home, showing the LIST price, versus the retail price that jay marks charges. i'm sorry you're unaware of this. also, if you think about it, the value of the stock lights is already deducted in that he wants them, plus 600. the fact that the stock lights are included does not play a factor in the ratio of his asking price to that of retail. also, last time i shopped on ebay, the highs were over 300 shipped. just pay what he wants or don't. i just offered some validity to his asking prices.

no one said this is a great deal. i just put it to numbers.

heres how buying online works if you havent done it before:
1) he posts price
2) you dont like price, if he has not made it clear then you ask if he is firm in pricing or negotiable
3) you still dont agree with price based on response you PM HIM
4) he responds in kind
5) you are either getting somewhere or your not, at this point you are either going to purchase from him or you will find a better price

please dont start a multiple page discussion about it.

Hey, I don't want to argue with you on this. It IS a good deal for anyone that wants his jdms right now and doesn't mind giving up his stockers. If you order them you do have to wait, I ordered mine for a little less but I did have to wait a couple weeks. I payed 225 for my highs through ebay new, so sometime there are good deals there. I will be ordering my lows from a dealer for the 237 each price, I may have done the DG deal if my passenger low wasn't damaged and I didn't have to source a replacement to trade.

So if you don't want to wait and you have all 4 stockers that you don't want to try and sell off, this is a good deal for you.

If your like me and some others on here and you don't mind waiting, and don't mind selling off your stockers or if they are damaged then this is not the best deal for you.

To DG good luck in your sale, these lights will make a great addition to anyone's Celica.

Update:
Here was my basic thinking when i decided to sell em....
I paid almost 900 when i bought em and i barely drive my car. They are mint!
I figure stock will go for 50 each... $300 is pushing the limit and they would have to be super clean lights
so 900-200 is 700 and i figure knock off 100 cause they are not brand new jdm's (but they basically are)
That is where i got the $600 figure from.

If you guys want to pay $852? for em new since i guess that is what they sell for now?
...and hope to get $250-300 for you stock lights i say go for it! I bet you will end up getting $50 a light... and have to have em posted forever to sell em off "one by one" and have to deal with shipping em all out also.
I am going to save somebody time, effort,and plain old cash just for getting mine.
Like i said b4... if they dont sell for over the 500 i will just keep em ,,,, no bid deal?
