so i was interested in buying this....
http://www.prostreetonline.com/buy/venom_4..._module/toyota/

and its like 'works well with other performance chips'
how do we go about getting those?
cause i was gonna turbo my car but thats a good 3k that i dont want to save up for
300 bucks is easier to get that 3k lol. if anyone has any experience with these or know someone that has one could you help me out? i know the 20 dollar ones on ebay are a scam too so you dont have to mention those :-p

does this even work? i'd suspect it just leans things out, might be bad for your engine.

it alters sensor signals to the PCM, namely the air temp. this causes the PCM to think air entering the engine is colder and advance timing and add a little more fuel. usually the stock tune is too rich, so you'd want to take away fuel. adding fuel wont do much for power other than make the car lighter by emptying the fuel tank faster. safc2 would be much more flexible and work alot better.

man that sucks, and venom is such a reputable company (or i think)
oh well, i figured something along these lines was too good to be true...
it was either get this or turbo it. and i really dont wanna dish out that much money, but i've got like all the performance parts possible for the 7afe that add HP anyways. thanks alot guys

toyota did a good job extracting as much safe power as they could from the 7AFE with the technology applied to it.

that being said, there are still some improvements that can be made.
a. intake
b. header
c. exhaust
d. tuning
e. advance timing

all of that wont net you alot, but it can be done pretty cheaply on the 7AFE in relation to other engines out there.

timing isnt hard, just do it right with a good timing gun and run the correct octane for how far advanced you set it.

luckily i can afford the 93 octane gas, lol i use it anyways just cause society deems it better than 87
but yea thanks man
