I know the engine harness is supose to be around 7FT, but why is the one i have so long. I had some friends from this site pull it out of a 96GT for me. From the pictures i've seen from Dr. Tweak, it looks like i have too much. What too much do i have?

it looks like its for an automatic transmission, i think i see the PNP connector block...but i dont see the solenoid connector block for the auto trans...they usually run down the same corrugated tube, but it may have gotten out and be dangling on its own.

iirc the auto and manual have different PCM connector blocks, the PCM in the auto controls the transmission as well as the engine. i'm pretty sure theres some wire location differences in the PCM connector blocks and possibly the connector blocks themselves are different or there may be an additional connector. I'm sure DR Tweek can tell you more than i can about this, but i can take a look in my prizm service manual for the differences between the auto and manual connector blocks. my auto is essentially the same as the auto's the ST's have, just different gear ratio's, and im pretty sure the manual PCM is the same between the 2 cars.
