Is with a heavy heart that i inform you guys and gals, my daugther flipped her 6gc 3 times..

She was driving on a 2 lane road, when another car went to pass her, when an oncoming car was coming towards the passing car the lady proceeded to turn into my baby''s lane and her rear clipped my girls drivers side front pushing her into a 2-3 foot ditch,, the nose dug in and the car flipped 3 ****ing times!!

My baby girl was shook up but her and her friend came out w/o a damn scratch {well just a small one}

Gotta love a ****ing TOYOTA!!!!

Yes, gotta love Toyota! A drunk driver in a lifted Jeep drove over the front of mine and she will be on the road again soon. Super tough. Once again I am so glad to hear Iris and her friend are ok. Please don't think your not welcome to show up, I would really like to meet you two.

edit: okay, seeing all pics now...my God, what a miracle that they came out okay. Go Toyota!

aIR BAGS ARE ONLY FOR HEAD ON COLLISIONS...If the car didnt get hit hard in the front then they wont deploy...i wrecked my first car which was a Camry and after hitting a brick wall at 40mph head on i knew toyota was the only way to go..my air bags hit my like a brickwall its self and burned my arm and made it hard to brewath fo awhile but other than that i just bruised my hand..

Im glad your daughter is ok..that must have been one hell of a ride...
I love pictures of people with there cars or at the wreck site after the crash those girls should be models lol..i have mine were it llooked like i got pasted to the wall i hit..

I said the same...no airbag?

what gives?

i think they are meant for a front end collision, the sensors are right behind the front bumper. it doesn't look like she hit any of them directly. i believe two or more of them have to be triggered for the airbags to go off...although that wasn't the case for me rolleyes.gif if the car rolls the front airbags aren't really going to do much because the momentum doesn't throw you forward as hard as in a front end collision so the seatbelt would provide sufficient restraint, and they are only inflated for a slipt second anyway. that right there would be a case for side curtain airbags. wink.gif

...and GODDAMN! your daughter is going to change the world, theres got to be a reason she survived that. you guys have some awesome luck!

The girls are talking about doing papers on the importance of wearing seatbelts and make good choices while driving, they are also looking for a way to team up with the local PD to give a speech or something.. hope this changed them for the better...

Which number? Paying you for the value of the car? Or a price for you to buy the car back?

Tell them you want a million dollars because of sentimental value. That's what I did and it totally... did not work.
When I had the adjuster come and look at mine they have a system that they use to value the car. I think that's what you have to go by. Are you planning on buying it back? If so let them know right away or they will sell it to the junk yard for nothing.

Still plan on showing up?

Cortes, if you have any questions on how to handle a insurance claim here in NC just pm me and I'll help you out.

I'm pretty sure that all insurance companies go by NADA value, which is fairly high compared to others.

Also, was your daughter taken to the hospital? If so, you may be entitled to money for pain, because the other vehicle was at fault for the accident.
