ok um i was just wondering.. when test fitting... did you have to remove anything to get the pillar to fit?

cause i just quickly tried it to see if it fit but it was WWWAAAYYY off... seemed impossible to put in unless i removed a-pillar and mounted it first...

also... none of my 52mm gauges fit??? i guess i gotta sand a bit off from each hole... but then how do you get them into the 2nd and 3rd spot? cause mine are about 57mm deep and when i try to put it in... the holder above it is in the way...

it must b legit since i bought it from gaugepods.com...

but here's a pic of what i mean when i say the gauge holder above it gets in the way for the 2nd and 3rd positions:
IPB Image

this is how it's supposed to look right:
IPB Image

cause it seems like i can't put it on without either removing the top of the dashboard or the a-pillar

gaugepods.com? No, real lotek come from the actual site. That one might be real lotek but i really dont know and it would be hard to find out. As for the gauges, you put them in the pillar pod before you mount the pillar. Run the wires down behind the dash before you totally screw in the pillar so that you make sure that you dont cut into or pinch any wires. Now to mount the pillar, you just have to wiggle it in there and make it fit

well.. when u go 2 the 6gc parts database for the lotek pillar, gaugepods.com is where the lotek link takes u. and since they r hving a gb @ mr2oc from the same place i would think it's legit

n also, i can't put the actual gauge into the holder cause as the pic shows, for the 2nd and 3rd holders, the gauge keeps hitting the holder above it... i thought all gauges would be like a universal depth or sumthin

i guess i could try and wiggle the pillar in some more tmr where there's more light outside cause it didn't seem like it would fit @ all w/o removing things

i have a lotec triple gauge pod and that my freind is not one..unless that cutting was done by you? if it is a lotec you might have to slide the bottem in between the dash and the a pillar ang wiggle it a bit to make it fit.

i just got my replacement gauge pod today... but fitment still sux in the test fit... =/

the top part where there is that curve... is too long... so i guess i'll needa shave it... unless i didn't push it far enough at the bottom since there was a small gap

but now i got a question... my gauges are about 57 deep... how the hell do you get them INTO the holes??? cause they keep hitting the side of the above holder when trying to push it in

ok um i was just wondering.. when test fitting... did you have to remove anything to get the pillar to fit?

cause i just quickly tried it to see if it fit but it was WWWAAAYYY off... seemed impossible to put in unless i removed a-pillar and mounted it first...

also... none of my 52mm gauges fit??? i guess i gotta sand a bit off from each hole... but then how do you get them into the 2nd and 3rd spot? cause mine are about 57mm deep and when i try to put it in... the holder above it is in the way...

My lotek pod doesnt fit the gauges either. Ive had to shave quite a bit off too to get my stewart warner gauges to fit in. But i know i have the right gauge pod for our car.

but when you actually try to put it in was the gauge too long depth wise? like even if the hole is big enough you acn't get it into the hole because the top of the gauge (where the display is) hit the above holder?

I have installed a few gauges in the lotec and I have seen this problem. On Vin's (shin) he has blitz gauges that were too deep for the pod so I had to cut into the existing a pillar plastic to make them fit properly and still they were only about 95% perfect. I also had to widen the hole a bit with a dremel.

With a set of autometer gauges, they fit perfectly, no fuss, no problems.

I cut into the stock a pilar plastic (kinda knotched it) so the gauges would slide in deeper. The back of the gauge hit so since the lotec covers the stock pillar, I had to cut it a bit, you dig ?
