I wanted to kno if that you u change the instrument cluster will the miles automactilly change or will it stay the same that is read on the new cluster?

it will stay the same the cluster reads before you install it.

example if your cluster ( the one on the car ) says 100,000
and the one you're gonna install say 30,000

when you change it you'll have 30,000 miles car.

it will feel like it too laugh.gif

and if you try to sell it this will show up

if it is electronic i think it should stay the same but if it is not what ever the miles is on the new cluster is the miles you have

I thought there was some way to increase the milage on the new cluster though? Like, you can't set the milage backward, but you could set it forward.

can be changed both ways ! is just not legal to do it.

Not quite right. It is illegal to make out that the car has done less miles than it really has. You can set the miles to anything you like as long as you clearly document the old and new readings at the time of swapping and make it clear to the buyer the actual mileage of the car. I believe the true mileage is stored in the engine computer anyway (thou there is probably a way of changing this, too).
