um why? Just put 10w-30 in it if you have a choice...but 15w-50 should be fine... better in the hot weather though

I'm running 0w30 or 5w30 Full Synth, weather here is quite mild. Between 0-30 degrees Celcius the whole year around.

QUOTE(GMoney @ Dec 4, 2006 - 2:05 PM) hey guys wat do u think about the Mobile 1 15w-50 engine oil .... it is to heavy for the 3sgte ? Used it for years in my old 4th gen 3S-GTE swap. worked great. However I do live in a very hot area so the added viscosity mixed with the higher oil temps a turbo car runs was a plus. Don't know about your particular part of the world. I know I switched back to 10-W30 in the winter months [same brand/type]. Mobile 1 rocks BTW. -------------------- ![]() |

Too thick... IMO The standard oils (10w40/10w30) more than cover the range for most engine's needs. Most newer engines actually call for 5w30...

I've used 20W-50 since I turbocharged the Celica.
