what the the flat head screw adjust on top of the throttle body? doest it control how much air is alowed during idle, or does it control the amount of fuel? thanks guys

its the screw that adjusts the idle, and im pretty sure it adjusts air because i cant think of a way that a simple screw would ajust fuel

i wouldn't mess with it tho. most of that stuff is set to a certain spec from the factory. you could end up throwing off your TPS sensor because of it.

i only adjusted mine at a last resort, god knows who could have messed with that screw over the years of this motor, the chances of it being 100% where toyota meant for it to be are slim.

however i would only adjust your idle this way as a last resort especially because it could simply bandaid some other idle issue that could come up to haunt you later on.

that is very true. Im going to mark it up where i have it now, and then go from there. If there are any major changes, then ill take it back. We'll see how it goes
