I'm putting a new head on my motor and I'm wondering if I should go with upgraded head bolts or not? Anyone have experiance with the putting stock grade back in? I'm not going FI, but I will beat the piss out of the motor. The stock bolts held till 150k, but that's without racing. So, if I need upgraded head bolts, were should I get them and what grade would be nessisary? Thanks guys.

from what im told by people on this site is that the stock head bolts from toyota or a local dealer are plenty strong enough for turbocharging . so im guessing stock head bolts would be fine no upgrades needed

really...what for?
the stock bolts are more than adequate for ANY "racing" you'll be doing in the celica in NA form. ive been over 200whp for over a year and a half now..100% stock long block really...worries about headbolts at our powerlevels is like throwing money into a toilet. ![]() this coming from a guy who wanted to have a "cam gear" made for his car ![]() -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)
