I have a samsung too and love it. Just make sure you don't get a plasma they burn out after a year or two. With the projection DLP you can replace the lamps when they start going dim.

Incorrect. This was true for the first or second generation, but as with any new technology, vast improvements have been made.

Learn the facts.

why is it that every high end HD tv looks worse then my cheap computer CRT monitor? you always see these digital artifacts in all the high def tv's ive ever seen, that you never get with a crt monitor.

artifacts - Due to upsampling/ limitation of bandwidth over cable (You wont get these with proper HDTV 1080i setup while watching a dvd or HDDVD/blu-ray)

Reason it looks worse ? The resolution on your monitor is proabbly 1024*768 pixels on.... a 21" screen... HDTV's are usually 1920*1080 pixels... however the large TV's are usually 40" + ... which means you have "bigger pixels"

In other words, if you do your HDTV setup correctly... it will look AS good as your CRT monitor.. and its not the CRT that makes it look nice.. its the resolution.
