I recently got my 99 GT red celi :-D
I just got my first MOD and is two 10" DEEP red lights and I tried to install them after trying to figure out where and how to wire them I ended up wiring it to the HAZZARD E LIGHTS wires but the problem is that it is always ON when car is off and ON so I bought a switch and the switch has 3 ittle holes to wire them wires biggrin.gif now these 2 cables are ON all the time so I wired the switch and everything seemed to work fine until I realized that when I turned the neons OFF the signals and back lgiths were ON confused.gif confused.gif I did not grounded the swithc thinking that one of those 2 cables from the HAZZ light is already...

Do you think that's what's wrong??
any other way to wire this things????

thanks...

BEN.

yea there is a way to wire those things

run a power wire from your battery to your switch and the ground from wherever to your switch.

you dont need them to hook up with the lights

OORRRR

you can put one power wire into the fuse slot with your panel fuse. that will probably blow it so the first way that i suggested would be best.

Get your power from the battery. Fuse the cable and run it to a relay. Set the relay up to turn on the lights when you give the relay a ground.

On a bosch style 30 amp relay.
Connect pins 85 and 30 to the power cable from the battery.
87 goes to the lights 12v+ connection.
86 goes to a switch. Connect the switch so that when it's on it provides a ground to pin 86.
Pin 87a isn't used.

You should get a power distribution block. they come in handy sometimes.

No it didn't come out mean or anything... just didn't wanna come off as a "know it all"

I guess the 5 or so years of mobile electronics, 2 or so years of electrical engineering in school and 7 years and counting of aircraft maintance is paying off.

Like 95sthatch said if you don't have one already a power distrubution block for your amps is another source of power for the lights.
