for a street car perhaps. he cant exactly take his drag car out for a cruise.

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.

The FWD car is the RWD car now, it's the same car. Im building the green one for the street "won't be driven every day" but will be able to run in the NHRA sport FWD class, that's why im building it. The story with the RWD is i'm in the process of building a 2007 RWD Scion TC and the RWD celica is almost sold.

How are you gonna hook up 8 or 900 FWD horsepower and be able to drive it on the street? Just curious.

800BHP in a 5SGTE is crazy lol. That turbo will be size of the engine haha.

I wonder if they would permit you to run a 503E.. It's been fitted and ran in a MKII MR2.. =] Just a thought.

I'm not planning on street racing, it will be a waste of time. anything over 450hp on a FWD car on the street is a waste, it will never hook up. The car will be able to drive as far has the meth fuel takes it.

Just out of curiosity, can you stay below 5500 RPMs and never reach positive manifold pressure? On a WOT run, will it fall out of boost when shifting? How high will you rev it on a WOT run?

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

How do you figure a 5s block is stronger than a 3s block. Ive seen dozens of 5s-fe throw a rod for no reason, on a well maintained car, being driven normally, with plenty of oil. Just curious. Not trying to criticize you.

the oiling system on factory 5s sucks your right, when i take a 3s and a 5s block and put over 40 lb of boost and run it down the 1/4 mile and crack the 3s block almost every time and "NEVER CRACK" the 5s block, that's why the 5s block is stronger for me and other reason.

stronger than any 3s gen 1 or 2, haven't done a 3rd gen yet.

How do you figure a 5s block is stronger than a 3s block. Ive seen dozens of 5s-fe throw a rod for no reason, on a well maintained car, being driven normally, with plenty of oil. Just curious. Not trying to criticize you.

that would be because the 5s, and the 7a for that matter are known for having weak rod bolts.throwing a rod thru the block says nothing about the blocks intergrity.
a little research on mr2oc will net quite a few reasons people use the 5s block, besides the .2 liters that you gain with it.

just a quick question...why a 5s block ?

the oiling system on factory 5s sucks your right, when i take a 3s and a 5s block and put over 40 lb of boost and run it down the 1/4 mile and crack the 3s block almost every time and "NEVER CRACK" the 5s block, that's why the 5s block is stronger for me and other reason.

Where does it crack?

they tend to crack between the bores.

they tend to pull the head stud closest to the water pump right off and so do the older 5s blocks also.

You are a man of few words and details..lol
How much money goes into building a 7sec car? That TC you got looks like is done right, and had a lot of money put into it.
How about some detailed pictures of the build up of these cars?

lol..
In drag racing it all comes down to "how much $ you wanna spend determines how fast you wanna go".
building a 7 sec car all depends on how u wanna build it.
i'll post some pics.

The turbo is a t76 with t4 flange.
on this car just switch from an microtech to EMS from Australia, loved the way it worked on my TC so swap over.
No two step when it was FWD but it was on methanol.
