2SGE?
Or 2SE?

I don't think there are any Toyota engines from the 60s or 70s [maybe 78/79] that are an E [EFI].
They are all carbureted.

u sure it was out of a corona?...cuz apparently late 60s corona's had 3RC and 3RB motors...and i dont think toyota even used any 1 number, 3 letter engine codes untill they went with fuely...even then it was still alot of 1 or 2#, 2 letter engine codes. Like my 83 is only a 22RE still. Ill keep looking though but i havent heard of a 2sge. I actually just looked it up and the 2sge is out of an older camry apprently confused.gif If you need a bellhousing from a 60s/70s corona, its gonna be out of a 3RC or 3RB motor, and i can get you one most likely.

this is what i've been told
"well toyota made a 1sge and a 2sge in the corona back in the 70s80s. these are near impossable to find so someone in the philapeins recast them and now these are pretty hard to find to.
hope this answers your questions"

but basically the task at hand....

find a bell housing and transmission combo (W series tranny!?) for RWD that will mate up to a 3sgte

oh..if you need a w series tranny, i can get you one no problem. Or do you just need the bell housing?? I can get both. Theres a guy i know through my classic toyotas club whos sellin a RWD 3s setup with the motor but i dont think he has a W series tranny. But i could definatly find you one. W series came in most mid 80s rwd toyotas *supra, celica, cresedia, older corollas*..just lemme know if you need the bellhousing adaptor for a 3s to a w series, or if you need the adaptor + the tranny

the 3SGTE has been swapped into 3rd gen celicas along with a W58 tranny fron the supra so older celica forums may be great help for you.
