nothing serious, just a dent between my d/s rear wheelwell and the tail light. i had left my car parked on my buddies' driveway and we went out riding, when we came back, his g/f's car was gone...and my alarm had been triggered. i speculated that it had been bumped but didn't notice it until i went to throw my bike in the back.

it's not particularly bad (seeing as i didn't notice it immediately) but it's definately the biggest dent on the car now. the paint on the roof is done, the paint on the hood & rear bumper is pretty much done, and there are scrapes along the back edge of both wheelwells (see profile, bought it like that)...so i don't think having this one new dent repaired at a body shop is going to make a huge aesthetic improvement.

i just met the girl today, and she left my buddy a message while we were out saying she was sorry and offered to pay for the repair.

i said it wasn't a big deal and that i was planning to do all my own bodywork sometime this year, she could just buy some of my supplies or something, but maybe i should have it done professionally just because she's going to pay?

i might take a picture of it later, it's raining atm. in the meantime, what do you think i should do?

well it is her fault, so i'd say if you wanted to save a little money then let her pay for it. otherwise if moneys not an object, then i wouldnt worry about it and do the work yourself. personally i'd have her pay at least some, like you said, for the supplies if your going to fix it yourself. but thats me smile.gif

i like people who takes respondsibilities for their actions. since she's respondsible enough to admit her fault i think you should be reasonable with her on wat she needs to pay for.
