Well, sorry to inform, there is no "how-to" . You can't do any taillight swap yourself without having body and repair experience. Most of the people that have them buy the Supra taillights and then take thier car to a shop. Time and money is involved.

As for finding the taillights, try Digital Roo for JDM versions, you'll need to contact him for them. Or you could try a junkyard or something like that first.

yea dude, it looks cool, but is often more costly than it ends up seemingly worth. i believe OreO has done it, ask him about it. also 1exquizitecelica did it too. it definitely does take time and money. if you cant do it yourself and you do not have a hook up, i would not reccommend doing it, because you will get raped on labor for a job like that. a lot of custom fabrication is involved in any tail light conversion, and they are always costly. if you have the cash or the means to make it happen, go for it. and i wouldnt suggest just going to a normal body shop unless you know the people who work there or something. go to a shop that specializes in stuff like that and/or has a lot of experience. but since you dont even have your celi yet, i am guessing you are not going to get into this. check out the how to's for some other cool things you can do to customize your tail lights. biggrin.gif

Unless ur the first person at the junkyard when they bring the car in they wont have them. Supra's are even rarer at junk yards then they are on the streets. The junkyard by me has one, a full one, doesnt have lights, but he was telling me that he is one of the only people in the northeast with an almost complete body supra. Check ebay often, i have seen them on there.
Also, dont think theres really a "kit." Its you gotta change the whole rear end, if you have a coupe, good luck its harder. You gotta bring out the ends of the trunk, and you gotta change ALOT. Its not easy. Good luck.

You dont have to change to much. What you do is buy the Veilside supra rearend. You get the taillights. Figure out the wiring first cuz it's easy. Bring your car to a bodyshop. Tell them to make that supra rear fit onto your celica. With some good cutting they can do it....I've head people getting it done for less than 700...one guy go tit for 350 over at toyotacelicas.com.

There's a pair on ebay right now. If they sell you could get a minitrucker magazine a order a set from one of the ads. You can get light housings for them too.

Hmm. Toyota Supra tail-lights are not the same as Altezza tail-lights. Anyhow, Supra tail-lights are from the vehicle named Supra. FireinDC is talking about doing a tail-light conversion. In this conversion he would switch his Celica tail-lights with the Supra tail-lights. Altezza tail-lights are the real name for the vehicle named Altezza (or Lexus IS300). It just so happens that because the Altezza has clear tail-lights, people started making clear tail-lights and nicknamed them "Altezza's". Anyhow, the 6th Generation Celica does not have "Altezza's" that I know of (ones that are made by a company such as "APC"), and probably never will. What you directed us to, I believe, is just another set of the common 7th Generation Celica "Altezza's". Just trying to help you out there. You can feel free to message me if I was too confusing, because I did touch on quite a few subjects. Anyhow, man, good day! smile.gif

um.... i think hes right about Booster making tails for 6th gens. they do make a lot of stuff for "obscure" toyotas. i dont think they make anything for the 7th gens. but they make stuff for 6th gens.

Like, I'm not trying to sound like an a-hole or anything, but leave em on the Supra. Putting tail lights from other cars on ours = rice. Don't put different tail lights on your car unless you're putting on JDM...just my opinion.

ya know what would be funny tho? if someone actually did an altezza rear end conversion. cuz then you'd have altezza lights! lol! plus it would be a totally unique rear end conversion. slap a beams engine in there, and a few ppl might get confused. biggrin.gif

Ohh...and they could do a Curren front end conversion. Right. If anyone had that cash, they'd own a Supra. tongue.gif
