FS: 1994 Celica ST, Rebuilt engine Options

Hey everyone, since going to college I really dont have time to mess around with this car and get it to what I want. Im planning on selling this during the summer time and will be putting it on Craigslist, but wanted to give you guys the opportunity first. Ive had this car since August of '05, painted it black, got new tires, new rims, rebuilt the engine almost a year ago, and have put on maybe 10k miles since then. Im not selling it because of reliability issues or because its no good, frankly I just want something bigger...its hard to drive 6 hrs home from school or drive with my friends in such a small car.

Engine:
It has 155k miles, Standard, and like previously stated was rebuilt. I have all the receipts from all the work that has been done...and just recently replaced several small things.

Exterior
Its black exterior and will be getting a new paint job before I sell it, as well as getting the Bullet fenders off and stock fenders back on. It also has a 99 bumper on it with the aftermarket turns and sidemarkers, as well as JDM tails. It doesnt have any badges. You can see pictures of the car in my profile.

Interior
I have done a lot of work on the interior, The car is equiped with the standard 4 6.5in speakers, which are aftermarket, as well as a Dual headunit. All the lighting is blue, including the clock, climate control, and guages. The headliner and carpet is black, as well as the rugs. The seats are beige, but have black and blue seat covers.

We are selling this for $2000, there isnt any rush to sell it so thats what we'r hoping to get.

The rebuilt engine is my engine, its got 153k i think, and had around 140k when I had it rebuilt...

Im also not selling anything thats on this car except for the bullet fenders...sorry!

i wouldn't sell that car for less than $3500, just to let you know, especially with the upgrades... and the JDM tails, you could easily get $250 for those alone.... just think about that...

maybe not quite 450 for the tails i just got mine for 175 and they sell all the time on ebay for around 265 brand new.
now if you wanted to sell them you wouldn't have any problem. the ones i just got were only for sale about 2 days b4 i snagged them and there was a line wanting them. but that's totally up to you.

hrmmm...are you selling now or in summer? i'd like to get it (and now) but i don't think i'd be able to make a trip to texas until early june. if you're selling it then...i think i'd come get it. if i can manage to save my clutch that long

2000 seems pretty low for a recently rebuilt motor and soon to be new paint job. i'm pretty sure you'd be able to get at least 3000 for that. but good luck with the sale.

Thanks guys, and to be honest...i know i could get more, I paid 2500 for it, and got it into a pretty good condition. Pending the painting it might go up, i think its still under warranty though. This is priced to sell though, and i think its a great deal.

As far as the JDM tails go, I did the white turn signal mod or whatever and removed the amber signal..so that would probably take some of the value away from them... but its got the tint, the paint, it has ZERO rust, and is in great condition.

To answer scandinavian_link's question, the plan right now is to sell it during the summer, I cant get it ready to sell until I go home for the summer around early May, so it should be ready at the end of may pending the amount of money I have... I still have to work out the price with my parents, but I am pretty sure they wouldnt mind taking 2000 for it.

Yea but unfortunately I dont have the time or the money to finish this car so I am just going to sell it as is. There was an awful storm in Austin about a week ago though and it has some hail damage, including a spiral crack in the glass on the passsenger side. THe crack looks pretty cool, and its not the kind that will spread thank god. I had a mechanic look at it and he had a couple of things replaced and im going to put a new battery in it this weekend.

I will be going sunday to my other house where it is at and bringing it back to my house so i can get it ready to sell. I will update everyone again on the condition of it, but i just wanted to let everyone know about the storm we had...

This car needs some work, I wont lie. But i think for the money your saving on this car you could easily put the extra grand or so your saving into this car and it would flawless. If i had a grand i would totally keep it.

Any Mechanical Problems that need to be fixed on the car? I've been fixing car after car after car because of burt up clutches, engines failing after a week, etc., etc. My dad doesn't want me to get the car because he's worried about having another dead head. another issue would be the money like i said before....depends on the loan. Plus i would need to make a weekend trip down there to check it out and test drive if you would allow it. But like i said before, im only looking into all this because my dad doesn't want me to make the same mistake he did.
