So my story is, I am looking for a good exhaust/muffler. I go on eBay, and I am just stuck. I don't want some lil whinny sound, but a good deep tone. I searched on youtube and seen some good ones, although no reply from those who have posted. I ask in a pleading manner for someone to drop some recommendations please! I would be very grateful for any input.

Thanks,

Faustino

Thank you so much. I am ignorant on these kinds of things. Here I am turning 25 this year, and never got a chance to fix up a car. So I know nothing. I thank the two of you so much for your replies. Here, I am very grateful. Magnaflow should pay you guys for the help. ;-)

heres mine

http://youtube.com/watch?v=D40ZZUkKINw

im happy with it. not obnoxiously loud and it has a nice deep tone. vid doesnt do it justice, the camera doesnt capture the audio very well. sounds much better driving when the engine is under load.

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.

Oh that's you? I was watching that last night. Sounds very good. What kind do you have? I kind of want a loud one, but I love the tone. Yesterday, I seen a civic drive by with the loudest exhaust I ever heard. Even louder than a motorcycle! I knew that guy was going to get pulled over soon enough. Anyhow, I want something legally loud. If that makes sense. If not, then one like yours would be good enough. Me likes.

I reccomend Magnaflow also. I just put one on my truck (97 Toyota T100 3.4L V6) it has a deep sound and sounds even better under a load. For my car I have an OBX muffler with a header and hi-flow cat.

Sorry I dont have any vids to show, but I have the hks hi-power universal muffler on my car and I love the sound of it. Its not ricey at all, sounds way meaner, and its not annoyingly loud by any means. Magnaflow on our cars sound weird to me, compared to my hks, but thats just to me. wink.gif

The part number for my hks muffler is 3203-EX023, straight from hks its pretty expensive at $265 + shipping, but I got it from this website for cheaper.

http://www.hopupracing.com/hksunsthimu1.html

And this site has it for even cheaper

http://www.sportcompactonly.com/Mufflers/E...579_p-31211.htm

Well worth the money in my opinion. wink.gif *EDIT* And I dont see how i forgot this but also check ebay motors for it, probably even cheaper there to.

I seen these ones called Relax sound I think and there are some others on the gang's jail website. I did get to listen to this one dual exhaust, but for some reason cannot find it again. Anyone familiar with the ones they have on that site? I also seen these Blitz ones, although I don't think they will be street legal.

Of course. We are talking mufflers here. There are no companies who produce exhaust systems for the Celica, so some good advice is to buy a muffler that you like, take it to an exhaust shop and have them custom make your piping.

Yeah, I've had it for about a month now, I got it off ebay for only $65 dollars. I really like the way it sounds plus it has cool Japanese writing on it.

Ah, it's cool. Luckily I wasn't holding my breath. Glad to know your fingers still work. At your leisure, I am always a phone call away.

By the way, that WRX exhaust sounds kind of odd and wicked at the same time. The more it keeps playing, the more I like it. Kind of unique. Like angry yelling/screaming type of singing. biggrin.gif

My shop charged me for only the cost of parts which was $306. That didnt include any time spent installing it. Mine was done by one of the best welders on the west coast at the time but hes no longer in the business.

The question is, how much easier is it. Good luck finding a Greddy, I tried. No such thing it seems. Have a better chance of finding a Dodo bird in a bikini. Atleast for me it is a truth.
