Hi,
I need to make a custom throttle cable by cutting the lead barrel (nipple) off a standard throttle cable, shortening it and then fixing a new barrel. I've seen barrels with a clamping screw or nut being advertised but don't like the idea. Is there a DIY kit available to cast a new lead barrel or solder a brass barrel to the throttle cable? Alternatively, is it something that some garages are geared up for doing? -------------------- Davey

find (if you can) a lead fishing weight mold and use that to cast the cable ends from aluminum...because thats not lead.
