Looking to see what you guys (and gals) think of my *new* rims. I havne't decided 100% wether to go with these or not because the offset is a tad bit off. They are 18x7.5, 48+, and have a new set of 225/40/18 falken 451's. I also have a set of 15mm spacers, effectively making the offset 33+.

BTW the car isnt running, so its hard to tell how much I (would) rub, and from where. These are with the 15mm spacers on. Would it be better if I took them off, to allow for the wider rubber and larger diameter (to tuck the rims behind the fenders a bit more). I know both malpaso and wannabe are good with offsets and rim measurements, so if you could chime in with your opinion?

EDIT: sorry if the poll is confusing, I thought I closed it down

and here are a few shots of my current rims, they do not rub in the front when I turn, but do rub a bit in the rear going over large bumps/bumps at high speeds.

I like the Gold gram lights the best. All you have to do is roll the rear fender lip in alittle and you shouldnt rub.

Haha, no. The rota's are the ones that came with the car when I bought it, and I do like them, I just would have liked them in a different color (gold or bronze) and 18". The gramlights are one of my buddies, and he let me "borrow" 2 of them to test fit (my car isnt running ATM) because the offset is a little off from perfect (as per the offset guide)

I agree with the 6 spoke comment. IMO 5 bolt/5 spoke combination "flows" better than a 5 bolt/6 spoke combo. As for the color, I absolutely do adore gold/bronze colored wheels on black cars. gold on black ftw!

I like the way the gramlights "bulge" out a tad bit (think fno1r-c) giving them a slightly more agressive appearance.

imo if i had those gram lights 57's i'd keep them and get a new decal. they are very expensive especially the 57 pro's. the the other rims suits your car more... -R so sell them to me haha jkz *maybe not jkz* kindasad.gif -R

I think the gold is awesome...but you could just powder coat the 6-spokes gold. That would work. If you don't end up using the spacers I want to buy them from you. =]

PC the rota's isnt in the budget. If I end up keeping them I'll be needing new tires. That is one of the main reasons of looking at the gramlights, as they have new rubber, and I could use the money I put away for my rubber, plus the money I get from selling the rota's, to buy the gram's, as I always liked the look of bigger (18"+) gold/bronze rims on black cars...

The car has been sitting on the gram's for a few days now, and each day I walk past them, I grow fonder and fonder of the grams. I think I'm going to keep em. Sorry to disappoint everyone who likes the look of the rota's, but to each his own.

You're the first person to ask. I upgraded them to a new brand called "invisa-lite". They are supposed to be stronger, lighter, and more invisible then OEM For the ULITMATE bling factor...

JK, I am redoing all the brakes (pads and rotors) and I have only taken the front stuff off. I threw the old rotor back on to tighten down the new studs I put in. BTW I'm repainting the capilers, torque plates, and outter pad shims black. Either gloss or flat, I haven't decided yet.

Interesting selection. How is she running? I have to say that I miss her in this weather. When you look to sell it someday, let me know. I might be interested.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

Haha, nice to see you're still creeping around Jay. She's been parked for the winter and I'm just trying to put everything back together and fire her up again. Too bad I was lazy for most of it, and didn't get around to doing everything I wanted...

As for selling her, I don't think I will be (at least not anytime soon) but I will let you know if I ever did.
