Is it just me?

I watched it yesterday at 10PM showing, and I really had a hard time trying to understand what they're talking about. Their pirate accent is just too hard to understand...

Gosh I need sub title....

I saw the movie last night and I loved it and could understand a high percentage of what they said. For me though was the story. There is this gap between Dead Man's Chest and At World's End so in the beginning your left wondering why everyone is doing what they are doing and how they got that way. In addition, the story has alot going on and left some confusion in the mist for me, but I think I got it all by the end of the movie.

Yeah I knew what everyone was up to in the beginning.

I did have a hard time understanding some lines.

And they did leave it wide open for another. As long as they remain good I don't mind.

I heard the new one sucked. 2 different people I know saw it, and they both said that half the people in the theater had left by the end of it.

For real, I've only seen one movie that I felt like walking out on and it was the Libertian.

It def. did not suck. Slightly long, but I didn't walk out of the theater disappointed like in Spiderman 3.

I just got back from the movie and I understood every bit of the storyline, the only lines I had trouble understanding were at the beginning at the bathhouse in singapore with all the asians with bad english. The movie was awesome though and very creative, and the scene after the endcredits was awesome! biggrin.gif

I liked the movie. At first i thought some of the stuff was too un-realistic and that turned me off. Then I remembered what they based the 1st one on. And i think they tried to cram too much stuff into the movie all at once. It would have been better if they cut some stuff out and drawn out some of the action scenes.

But over all it was a good movie. I hope they dont make another one, end it while its good.

Its 10 years later, and you see Ms. Swan with a 10 yr old boy (her son) walking to the water's edge so they can see that green flash at sunset. Then the Flying Dutchman appears with Will on it.

Highlight again:

QUOTE
At the end of the movie, Barbosa steals the Black Pearl, again; and wants to find the Fountain of Youth. Jack cuts out the portion of the map that talks about it and sets sail in his dinghy.

I've liked all 3, so if they come out with a good story, I wouldn't mind seeing another.

Keira Knightley has already said she doesn't want to do another. Johnny Depp said he'll keep doing them as long as they're good. IDK about the other actors. Maybe a spin off?

I honestly don't see how they could do another without her if this is the case.

Since this has spoilers, you'll have to highlight to see:

QUOTE

Davey Jones was once a normal looking who fell in love with Calypso (the Jamaican woman). They sorta backstabbed eachother and thats why Davey Jones came up with the idea of imprisoning her in that body w/the 9 pieces of 8. Davey Jones was also in charge of watching over the souls that died at sea. Since he neglected this job, Calypso cursed him into looking like the octopus and his ship & crew looking like that. At the end you see them all go back to human form because Will is now the captain of the Flying Dutchman.

The crabs were the doing of Calypso, to bring the Pearl & Jack to the sea in order for them to free him from Davey Jones' locker. She wanted him back because he had 1 of the pieces of 8 that would enable them to release her from that body. Same with Barbosa. He died but she brought him back because he had a piece of 8.

Which heart are you talking about? The metal music box heart was something Davey Jones & Calypso both had. It was merely a symbol that they once loved eachother. The heart in the chest was Davey Jones' heart. Kill the heart, kill Davey Jones. Same with Will Turner now that he his the Captain of the Flying Dutchman. His heart is in that box.

All the "jack sparrows" were just parts of his consience that he was materializing.
