Ok well i had a question and have been doing some thinking. If i have a full ST185 to take apart, would that mean i would have most of if not all of the parts needed to do the AWD conversion to an ST204? I'm assuming i would have to buy new suspension though as im not sure the ST185 shocks will bolt right up to the ST204, but i haven't tried yet. Well the reason for this being is that basically some of you know i have an Alltrac, but recently, it appears that my engine had seen it's last day as i checked compression on it and it's like 90, 30, 30, 60. The chassis also has quite a bit of rust on it, and probably isn't going to last too many more years. So i am willing to just cut my losses and use whatever parts on it that i can, since i doubt i will be getting much for selling the car as a whole right now.

Well i was just wondering what else i would possibly need other than a fuel cell. I remember reading somewhere that the ST185 AWD set up is practically the same as the ST205 set up is in terms of bolt up locations. So if i weld in the neccesary brakets using the ST185 set up, i should be able to upgrade to the ST205 compenents if i feel the need to in the future.

the 205 is a few inches wider than the 185.

well, i have 3 3sgte stock pistons that hold 170-180 psi if you need them, only thing that might also affect that bad would be a blown gasket or bad valves.

Well last year when i was going through checks with my engine, my compression was 150psi on all cylinders. So it was doing ok, but not the greatest. Seems odd that all my pistons would lose compression at the same time, becuase i was driving it on the road when it decided to shut down on me. I believe the engine could still be salvagable, but the cost estimate is really bothering me since im not exactly sure what the problem could be or if it's even worth to fix it. I'm kind of hoping it's just the headgasket, but right now im not exactly sure what i should even do with the car....
