This past weekend, i got really bored and missed working on my car so I decided to throw the 20in in the headliner of my celica!

Yehaaaa. Look i know probably the #1 question is gonna be, "WHY?". Well if you know anything about me, Im all about standing out. "No" isnt in my vocabulary, and i had alotta neighbors hatin on me sayin i couldnt, so I gotta post this wit a smirk to em.

I put new fabric on the headliner as well but that up to change within the next month. I thought about this idea for about 5mins and just went on it. So please tell me wha you think. I got a video of it too. Ill post it a little later.

If I was riding in the back I would be incredibly pissed when the TV falls on my head.

I wonder how does the neck feels after watching a 10 minutes video right up your head.

the mod is unique and it really stands out, I give you props for that, and for your comments looks like that exactly what you wanted, so mission accomplished.

Yeah i like to chill in my car alot, so layin the seats back, i got two equalizers, so the movies sound great. Great video quality too

hell if pimp my ride can put jackhammers, hottubs, waterfalls and hammocks in their cars, why cant i do this. i love doin these type of things. Unlimited possibilities. laugh.gif yeah some things may be retarded and you might say "why would you need that?" but hell for those of us who love to be creative or see creative these things are pretty damn interesting

project is a cool idea...but the job looks really sloppy....roof liner shouldn't be floopy and have lines all over it.

but nice job on going outside the box and doing things!

hence why i said in the begining that i was goin to be redoing the headliner. Trust me i dont lik lil stuff that looks backyard. But being that im still in school and Took everything apart --the car realli couldnt sit in the garage another week while i plan an fuss around with way to smooth it out.

I get out of skool in two weeks, then ill have all the time to play with it. Trust me i wouldnt show it to anyone if it was that bad. Cut me a break lol

The line in the middle are the center part of the headliner. I had a cut a previous hole there for another headliner project that was removed so those are on purpose any other lines are just parts of the headliner that got creased during the install. Gettin padded fabric, should cover them. And I plan to search the junkyard for a headliner to re cut

Cause I already had a hole across the whole middle from a previous plexiglass project that i did. I definitly would have just left the factory one on. So when me time frees up ill go searchin for another one.

The only thing i dont like about flip downs i that they dont make any slim ones. They're all fat and chunky. That wouldnt be too bad of an idea though if i can think of a way to decrease the amount of headroom it would take.

Have an idea, find a way to mod your rear seats so that they recline further back and into the trunk area.(remove parcel tray)

Make a hinge for the LCD so it drops down a little towards the front and walla, perfect viewing and cosy seats at the back for movies.

not bad the liner does need to be cleaned up a little but yea good job i got a 7in flip out and its not that great cuz of size if i did that would prolly take my girl in it and have a night out either lean back on the seats or just sit in the back with the front seats fowrd to prop up feet....i like sovens idea recline the back seats see if you can create a locking hinge or a morterized hinge to drop the lcds bottom a little so you can bring back up for head room in back without plopin back down in passengers faces wile driving

i own a coupe so im not to educated with the celicas hatchback but i have a 280zx hatchback and the back seats fold fowrd creating i flat bed along with the back space lots and lots of room trust me i know smile.gif wink.gif......20in lcd out at night you and ur girl roomy back space i would go for it

bad thing is make sure back seats passengers arnt wearing hats, bobby pins ect...

but if your like me and use the small cars just for show and tell and not car pooling then no worries i use the ford for towing ppl around lol its all it good for anyways...i hate ford
