Just wondering if anyone has overhauled their M/T yet.
Im trying to make a hybrid out of my 4age M/T and the 7A cuz the 4a grinds on 3rd and the 7a is still ok.

Overall I want to make the 7A have LSD (I think) and at the same time a lower gear ratio for gears 1 & 2 like the 4A. I'm actually taking it apart, just not sure how to put it back together. or do special checks when assembling.

Ok so i took apart my M/T tranny today and to my surprise it wasn't so difficult. Its just that when your replacing gears and syncros it gets really complicated because you need a press to press out and in the gears otherwise it would be a piece of cake.

Hmmm... A how too and maybe some pictures will be up soon if I feel like it.

a trick to getting the stuff back on the shafts with less pressure is to freeze the shafts and warm the gears/bearings slightly.
