If your going to do any sort of lowering spring then no. They do not adapt well to lowering springs even a slight lowering. I would say go with KYB's or better if you are going to purchase lowering springs as well. I worked at Speedy Auto, we never suggested monroe if any sort of suspension adjustment was being made only in the place of OEM shocks/struts.

Yeah, Any of the ones you buy at the store are made specifically for OEM springs and Height. If your gonna drop it later on go KYB.

Arrhhg.. I wish I saw your post earlier! Monroe sensa trac is a bad shock/strut for the celica. I bought them for my 5gc GT-S and the fronts both leaked within 2weeks of installing them. The rears held up b/c they were the sealed type. Luckily, it was under warranty( from Advance Auto) so they actually were the ones who told me not to use monroes but KYBs on toyotas. Anyway, if you haven't installed them yet, you might want to consider returning them for the KYBs.
Sorry, but I wish I had seen your post earlier. If you did install it already I hope you did it yourself, this way you don't end up paying twice for labor.

Edit: Okay, sorry, it seems you haven't bought them yet. Good, go for the KYBs at least.

Grab the KYB GR2's, they're a great budget shock and work extremely well with lowering springs. Best budget shock for lowering IMO.

Bilsteins and Konis are way out of my budget. For a set of Konis I rather get a Coilover set from Tein.
