I was wondering if getting a 3sgte with a stock top mount intercooler would be actually efficient when used in conjunction a ST-205 hood...I know the bulge is over the headers and I'm not sure about the airflow...
yea I think it won't work -------------------- ![]() -Rémy 02 SiR, 08 250R |

Toyota put countless hours into the engineering of the motor, and hood. (considering it was used for racing)
Im gonna have to say that its safe to assume that airflow was one of the problems that was looked at, id say its save to use an st205 W2A IC with the st205 hood. -------------------- ![]() Kawi Love |

QUOTE(Rayme @ Sep 21, 2007 - 8:18 AM) yea I think it won't work Air goes out of the ST205 hood scoop, and the ST185 TMIC needs air to go in. Another important part of the ST185 intercooler is the seal it has with the hoodscoop. You should run the TMIC only long enough to prove that you have the motor running right (like, warm it up in the garage and that's it!). -Charlie -------------------- 2003 Subaru WRX Wagon

You could get alcohol injection and use the st185 tmic.....Something to think about |
