Well i cant seem to get my pics to upload

i ended up with a black 2008 VW GTI with an autobahn package. I love the way it drives. I will forever love my Celica and it will always be my first love and wouldnt even be moving onto a new car if it wasnt for the fact that it needs some TLC that I can not give it right now.

So please keep ur negative comments to yourself i you dont like my choice

Thanks everyone. I really wanted a toyota really badly and looked at the 2008 Camry but they are all automatics. Someoen suggested at work I take a look at the VW's and once I drove the GTI that was it. I was hooked! Im hoping to sell the Celica to a local 5th gen celica owner

nice car! definitely an upgrade. i would of gotten a new wrx sedan for that money, or even a slightly used sti/350z. not a huge vw fan, and my next car isnt going to be fwd. if you wanted a toyota, i would of waited a year or two. lots of rumors flying that they will be getting back into the market they had with the celica, mr2, supra. keep your eyes out for the tokyo auto show in a month.

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.

not trying to be negative, but I really didn't like how plain the rear end on those look. I love the front and I really like the sedan, but the look of the rear hatch kills it for me. Performance isn't too bad tho, I know the r32 does 0-60 in like 5.9, how does the gti do?

Nice choice but I personally couldn't bring myself to buy that car

It's fast but its fwd, I know the r32 is awd but it would be nice if they offered a awd version of the GTI.

it looks ok, but for me its a little off. But looks are subjective and thats opinion.

The dsg system is nice but the novelty of it wears off quickly. German cars are expensive to mod(trust me i know) and that being said a lot of money has to be thrown at the GTI to make it a performer.

Still overall nice car and congrats

I didnt buy it for performance. I bought it mainly because I liked it and it was a nice car to drive. I wont be modding it anywhere near as what I did for the Celica. I will just tint and exhaust.

Im just happy to have a car in my name and start building my credit.

anothing that bothered me about that car is that a fairly equpped gti cost more than my old Z was brand new... to much if you ask me

haha VW reliability for ya!

you can make the GTI pretty quick for not too much $ if you do your research and go for a few key things first.

i was able to spend ~$150 on my jetta to make it as fast in the 1/4 mile as one Audi B7 2.0T with every bolt on mod there was

stay away from EIP and APR has a nice sounding GTI exhaust..3" dp ftw as well

I dont know much but I think the autobahn package is

Leather
6 disc cd player
MP3/IPOD jack
18 inch wheels upgrade

maybe some other stuff but thats all I seem to know. I just got to actually have it in my hands this afternoon. Its going to be fun after I break it in a bit but I dont know. Now that i think of all my payments its kinda scary.
