A few weeks ago i purchased somestuffs (cables and shifter) off a member on this site, I asked him to send the items via express postage and he quoted me 150usd altogether. A few days later he sent a pm saying that the money hasnot cleared so he was forced to send them via normal airmail (47.95usd).. I received the items and pmed abt the remaining money (50usd), he never reply even though his last log on was 20th september.

Whats the problem here ppl? Where are the trust on this site? It's sad to say but the number of scammers are inscreasing and the moderators are not giving a foot abt it. We are all here because we have the same passion abt cars, but some of the ppl are taking advantage of that and turned it into scamming schemes.

Fellow 6gcers its abt time we do something abt this sh*t. I dont mind donate a few hundreds to charity but losing a few bucks to scammers just boils my blood. I believe that every buy&sale concerning new member and anyone with 0 or bad feedbacks then the buyer should send his money to one of the moderators (pressure2, doggy, coomer...etc) or someone who has good reputation and once the buyer received the goods the money then release to the seller. Like escrow, but done within our community.

This particar member here I believe is not a scammer but acting the way that he does, one forced to think so.
Im not ranting abt my money, this is for the sake of us and all I wanna do is making the Buy&Sale a lil safer...I cant do it by my self but if we are all in it I think we can put the trust back to this cummunity.

aaron

I doubt anybody on the site is going to get involved in other peoples transactions.

QUOTE
Also, this forum is just for information. Buying and selling things on the internet can be risky, so it's advised that you use an escrow service such as Escrow.com when buying or selling something. 6G Celicas and its management is in no way responsible for anything that is sold or purchased on these forums.

This is a buyer beware situation as with all forums and unfortunately it seems as though a lot of bad decisions are being made. Things such as how long a member has been here, their Ebay feedback (if any) and any background information on them from other members needs to be taken into consideration.

Buy from people that have positive feedback on the forum and Ebay. If they don't use Escrow.com or don't buy from them.

BTW: Where is the trust?

I think we just have to be more careful with transactions, I've lost a little money on some transactions here, but I learned, never blame the site as It was my own fault.

I bought a pair of door panels from a member here, I told him I would send the payment on a friday and so he could ship them on friday or saturday, to my surprise he shipped them first thing friday and give me the tracking number and everything. I was shocked that he shipped the door panels on his first transaction with me without receiving the payment. I paid him as soon as possible and made sure he got the money. It is nice when people trust you like that, but if I was to give an advice I would say don't trust anyone with money.

I dont trust anybody really unless theyve proven to me that they can be trustworthy. Not just on this site but life in general.

i think there should be a limit, liek you ahave to be a member and help on the site for a certain amount of time before being able to sell/trade anything. buying would be different as most ppl wont send items until payment is recieved.

Thats not a bad idea. Selling only after x amount of months or x amount of posts.

I'd support that.

I have always liked the idea of 100 posts. I hate scammers, they are pieces of **it. Please PM me the members name. If this doesn't get straightened out they will be banned for good.

Might not be a bad idea to share IPs & Emails of these people with rest of the Celica/Toyota sites to avoid these people going to them and scamming more people.

i think a 30 post minimum would be nice, and no spamming, aka no random responses, have moderators crack down that after like the 2nd random "yea thats a cool idea" post reset them back to 0 or something. also, i wouldnt buy anything expensive from anyone without a good amount of positive feedback or at least a known reputation on here. i pay the extra little bit n get most all my parts from legit companies or local shops to avoid the possible headaches from the internet.

Well we've done ours part, now its up to the mods...funny how posts get moved really fast when posted in the wrong forum, but when it comes to this no mod actually do anything!!!

The seller name regarding my transaction is lantz2121 I didnt mention his name in the first post to give him another chance to pm me back but he didnt and his last log in was on the 27th-sep.

It's sad!!

well the mods are doing what they can too... you can't put blame on them, they cant make mods, they cant ban only admins can... Coomer is the owner of the site, he has the ftp login, no one else would unless he shared it...

Was I blaming the mods?? NO I wasnt, I was only comparing how one thing are done faster then the other's. Defgeph was here and stated his comments, please go back and read before posting. I dont really concern as to who have the power to ban or not, and yes I do know Coomer is the onwer of this site!!
