Good lookin mod! I just got the reverse gages instead, I couldn't ever seem to find any LED's or anything to go behind it, and the gages were pretty cheap so I got those instead.

But around the heat/cold knob , where did you find that silver piece? It looks good! Keep us updated!

i got it from ebay for like 4 bucks. it's just a sticker. the only thing is unless you have LEDs in the climate control unit it's really dark at night.
the blue LEDs are just in there for now. i plan on getting some white face glow gauges from speedhut in a few months. if i were to do it again though i woulda just got super white polarg bulbs cuz mine go out from time to time and i'm not sure why either.

thanks for the positive feedback everyone. any suggestions?

i plan on painting the interior pieces silver soon i just need to take the time to pull it all out and get it done.
my next big thing is some new rims though. i just can't decided which ones to get.
what do you guys think?

edit: i chose E none of the above and got some 7th gen gt-s rims smile.gif

well, I would say a or d.

Used to be a fan of b and c but it was overdone around where I live.

Read your profile and it seems like you got some good ideas heading towards your celi.

My suggestion would be to clean up the engine bay. Don't go ballistic on painting things in there either, just the valve cover wink.gif

And mabey re-upholster the seats/ or buy some aftermarket ones. None of these suggestions are anything you need but just thought i'd...suggest tongue.gif !

Looks good! Get them parts installed!

I think A - personally, I hate gold, I know that's just a matter of taste though. I kinda think gold rims are just too trendy, like those nasty-ass spinning rims you see on hoopdees and Escalades. It just dates the car, IMO. I myself like the clean and classic platinum look.

Plus, platinum is worth more than gold! wink.gif

Hey David lookin' good! A word of advice - make sure that the lip gets primed really well and also an extra thick layer of clear coat on top. Because of where it is it will get hit by a LOT of stones and crap. The guy who painted mine did a dodgy job and now all of the paint is chipping off really badly. mad.gif You get what you pay for!

Personally I'd love wheel D the best if it was silver. So failing that I say wheel B.

Good luck!

oh it's available in silver too. i think it would look really nice in bronze though. i personally don't really like the gold color on that particular rim in the pic. thanks for the tip on the lip. one day my car exterior will be done (i hope frown.gif )

Dude, give us updated pics! A few other things...

Did you go from a three-post spoiler to a two-post? Wow, I think the two-post looks much better!

Yeah, you need to drop that puppy first before any sway bars, new struts, etc. Installing the Teins yourself is very doable as long as you use the how to from Mynzeyes and the search function if you are not sure about something. Will save you $200+. Feel free to ask me questions too. It can be done without a spring compressor...you just have to point away from your body!

Nice choice on the GT-S Rims! I think they look better on our cars than the 7th Gen, but prolly b/c our cars look better anyway. smile.gif

i would have posted pics last night but i didn't get it on until like 8:30 and i was cold and it was dark. i'll probably take a quick pic tomorrow of my dirty engine bay. next is either a front strut bar or teins and kybs. i'm def doing it myself if i can. not worth paying someone else a ridiculous amount of money for what i can do for free. i just can't afford the springs quite yet. and yes that is a 2 post conversion and i agree with you completely biggrin.gif

no it's not alpine sadly. it's a pioneer so it's still decent. the lip is a JDM Tom's option lip. very hard to come by. i got lucky when i got mine. it's not a replica either.

the heat shield will block out a lot of the hot air so i will get cooler air into the motor. atleast that is the theory behind it. it's not necessary but it is nice to have.

i wish i could afford to paint the whole car. for now i'm just going to paint the parts that need it the most. front bumper, lip, rear splitters, blocks and spoiler. that way they just wont be taking up space in my room and will actually start getting used.

they stopped putting the strut bar in the GT in 98 i think. not sure why exactly so mine doesn't have one. i want to get a Jspeed, C-One, or TRD strut bar soon. it's just a matter of finding one.
so if anyone has one they are willing to sell me LMK. i have started a couple WTB threads without any response.

so i went to maaco today to see how much it would cost to get my lip, splitters, and front bumper painted and they said it would cost about 350! frown.gif
does that sound kinda steep to you guys?
as soon as i get my refund i think i'm going to get it done. i'll keep you posted. i'm tired of looking at them not on the car.

When I got my front lip, sides and rears quoted by a pretty prestige smash repairer they wanted AU$700 (US$600) (and that was with a mates' discount). I got a dodgy job done for $350 and it's now all chipping off the front.
Get a decent job done because the front lip is in a spot where it will take a bit of abuse wink.gif

like the leather cover or the plastic covers on the sides?
i'm not sure the leather cover part # (mine came with it included) but the plastic covers are 64333-20160-C0
the leather cover is hella expensive. there is an auction on ebay for both a front and rear strut bar and the rear has the leather cover. just search st202 on ebay.

the climate control cover i got off a guy on ebay for $4 (i don't think he offers them that cheap anymore though.) it's just a vinyl sticker overlay.
the front lip i got a screaming deal on. 250 shipped from a member on here. he brought it over from hongkong of his car there and but his celi here had a body kit on it already so he wasn't going to use it.

i ended up finding one that was already silver from the factory. to be honest it was almost cheaper than just getting mine painted. since it's OEM paint so it'll stay lookin good too.
thanks and it's on my to do list wink.gif
