Hello all,

It seems I may have been screwed on a ct26 deal. The other night, after getting the car back together, I took it our for a boosted run. Before I knew it, I was back in my shop staring at the sperated center section on my turbo. I noticed that my turbo did not have the clamp on the CHRA/turbine housing joint that nearly all ct26's that I've seen have. I believe that this may have contributed to its death. I was wondering if anybody knew what the part number was/know what the "Toyota name" for this is/have one laying around. I know I probably need a rebuild, but this will get me one step closer to running again.

I doubt you can buy it separate from Toyota.
The only way to know for sure is if you drive on down to the dealer [or call them]................................

Yeah, but I really don't feel like going to my overpriced dealer again. lol. I have spent so much cash there, that they should probably be getting me my own coffee mug there soon. Anyways, the certain person who sold me the turbo on here (you know who you are, and if you dont reply to my emails, so will everyone else) sent it to me missing a bunch of junk. The clamp, some bolts, nuts, gaskets, etc. I dont really mind the other stuff, but the big arse clamp that holds the thing together is kind of important.

I guess I should have looked a bit more into what to expect from a working condition used ct26 before I bought it. But still.........that's ridiculous

thumbsup.gif That'd be very cool if you could hook me up. I still probably need a re balance though. I could probably replace all the seals my self. Hopefully my housings and blades are good, but I can only hope. frown.gif

How'd your turbo fail? Any other goodies you might have from it? smile.gif

I've got one too. the first turbo I got didn't come with one either so I got one off ebay. there's some place on ebay that has them, but they are kinda pricy like $25 or so. anyway, I got a different turbo and no longer need the other one cause it's seized. I can send you the clamp for like $12 shipped if you don't get the other one from eggman.

edit: found it, turns out it was $35 shipped: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/99-1mm-MHI-...sspagenameZWD1V

Update: I really appreciate you all posting for me. Right now, some exciting new developments have been happening for my Toyota situation, so I may not need the clamp just now. I smell something AWD coming my way..........
